UPDATE: Death toll in the Lady Mo accident in Mbombela rises to three The death toll in the head-on collision that claimed the life of beloved Mbombela social media influencer Moses Sibiya, affectionately known as 'Lady Mo', has risen to three. The accident involved a Kia Picanto and a minibus taxi on the KaNyamazane Road near MRTT in Mbombela on Friday, July 4. Lowvelder previously published that Lady Mo was driving the Kia and was pronounced dead on the scene. However, the paper has since been reliably informed that he was among the five passengers of the Kia who were injured and taken to hospital. The taxi driver also sustained critical injuries, while the Kia's driver, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead on the scene. Lady Mo and another unidentified victim succumbed to their injuries in hospital. The Mpumalanga Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison's spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi, confirmed the new information on Sunday, July 6. Footage of the tragic accident is circulating on social media. The video, which Lowvelder has opted not to publish due to its graphic nature, shows the Kia Picanto skidding into the oncoming lane before colliding head-on with the taxi.
