Suspect charged in break-in at Sundance community centre
Police are trying to locate a suspect in a break in at a community centre in Sundance on July 18.
One of the suspects in a July break-in at a community centre in Sundance has been identified and charged.
On July 18 around 4:20 a.m., two men are alleged to have forced their way into the storage garage of the Lake Sundance community centre at 63 Suncrest Way S.E.
Police believe the suspects took a 2024 Gator utility vehicle and drove it into an alley about two block north, near Sunhurst Crescent S.E. They left it there for about 48 hours before coming back and loading it onto a flatbed trailer hitched to a pickup truck, before leaving the area heading north.
Police have charged a 62-year-old man with one count of break-and-enter and commit.
The man is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 4.
Police are asking for public assistance to help them identify and locate the second suspect.
He's described as a man with a light complexion and slight build. He was last seen wearing dark-coloured cuffed work gloves and coveralls, and black boots.
