'Nadikar' OTT release: Tovino Thomas starrer to stream on THIS platform; read more

After a long wait filled with silence and speculation, Nadikar, Tovino Thomas-starrer, is all set to stream on OTT from August 8. The film, which originally hit theatres on May 3, 2024, never quite found its footing at the box office, and fans were left in the dark for over a year about its digital release.
A satirical take on fame and failure
The film is directed by Lal Jr. and written by Suvin Somasekharan. 'Nadikar' tells the story of David Padikkal who was once-celebrated Malayalam superstar whose ego and arrogance become his undoing.
Tovino Thomas
plays David with a mix of charm and vulnerability, navigating the painful arc of a star losing his shine. The film is now streaming on Saina Play. The OTT platform shared the release date update with a caption that read, "HE WAIT IS ALMOST OVERRRRR....!!!!!

An impressive cast
The film boasts an impressive supporting cast including Bhavana, Divya Pillai, Soubin Shahir, Balu Varghese, Anoop Menon, and Suresh Krishna. There were also special appearances by Dhyan Sreenivasan, Shine Tom Chacko, and Ganapathy. The music is by Yakzan Gary Pereira and Neha Nair, cinematography by Alby, and crisp editing is by Ratheesh Raj. ETimes gave the film a rating of 3 stars out of 5 and our official review reads, "Tovino's Acting Elevates This Passable Entertainer.

Though it didn't leave a mark during its theatrical run, 'Nadikar' now steps into homes with the potential to reach the audience it missed the first time.
