‘Shame On You, Mass Murderer': Protesters Confront Asim Munir In Washington

Asim Munir faced an embarrassing reception upon his arrival in the United States for an official five-day visit, after a crowd shouted "shame on you mass murderer".
Pakistan's Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who is on an official visit to the United States, faced major embarrassment after a group of people shouted 'shame on you, mass murderer" and 'shame on you, dictator" upon his arrival at a hotel in Washington.
In videos widely shared on social media, people could be seen arguing with the authorities in the United States, yelling that they have a freedom of speech.
Another video showed a poster which read, 'Mass Murderer Asim Munir".
According to Dawn, Munir arrived in Washington on Sunday for a five-day official visit aimed at reinforcing military and strategic ties between Pakistan and the United States.
The report also claimed that Munir did not attend the military parade.
Earlier, the White House had denied that Asim Munir was invited to the Washington Military Parade on Saturday.
'This is false. No foreign military leaders were invited," a White House official said of the reports about the invitation to Munir.
Recently, the Pakistan government bestowed the rank of Field Marshal – the nation's highest military title – upon General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff.
The Shehbaz Sharif government officially justified the move on the grounds of Munir's 'exemplary leadership" during the latest military confrontation with India.
Munir's promotion to Field Marshal follows a recent military escalation between India and Pakistan, after India launched 'Operation Sindoor' in retaliation to the killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22 April by Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba-affiliated terrorists.
