Chef Harpal has made it a point to move away from the traditional white chef coat. Talking to Mumbai Mirror, he says, 'The white chef coat is a symbol of pride for any chef, and I have around ten of them. But alongside those, I own nearly 60 colourful chef coats that reflect my personality. They create a different vibe and a different kind of energy. I like adding a bit of fashion and personality to the kitchen.' He adds, 'Wearing colourful chef coats is something I do for myself because I am a colourful person at heart. But I have noticed that people across the country have started experimenting with colourful coats after seeing me, and that is lovely. I often get compliments. That is enough.
