Clark County shines light on child abuse prevention
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – One local community is looking to bring visibility to child abuse prevention with a blue ribbon-themed campaign next month.
Clark County Family and Children Services has invited organizations and businesses to take action for children when it hosts its 'Build a Blue Ribbon Tree for Kids' campaign in April.
As an international sign of child abuse prevention, the blue ribbon can be a constant reminder everyone has a responsibility to protect children.
For anyone looking to build a Blue Ribbon Tree, Clark County Family and Children Services said they may use their own materials or will be provided with a blue ribbon upon request.
The organization said choosing a tree with high visibility is important and to get as creative as possible when decorating to support for child abuse prevention. Photos of the trees will be highlighted on the Clark County Family and Children Services and Clark County Advocacy Center's Facebook pages.
The winning tree will be chosen by vote. It will be recognized at the Child Advocacy Center's Annual Event on Thursday, April 17.
To receive a Registration Form and a Photo Release Form email by Friday, March 7.
