THE World Matchplay has arrived in Blackpool for nine huge nights of darts at the iconic Winter Gardens - and Stephen Bunting is set to feature TONIGHT! The Bullet clashes Jonny Clayton, while James Wade beat Gian van Veen in the first clash of the night. Yesterday, World champion Littler found himself 7-2 down at one point before mounting a truly remarkable comeback to reach the quarter-finals, with the Machine Gun played his part, never giving in and pushing Littler to a dramatic 25th leg. Gerwyn Price also romped into the quarters with a demolition job on Chris Dobey, where he averaged 108.73, before Michael van Gerwen CRASHED OUT after a sensational performance from Josh Rock. Austrian Darts Open 2025 LIVE RESULTS: Final latest as Schindler and Smith battle for title after Dobey's shock exit

AUSTRIAN DARTS OPEN has reached the final stage - and none of the big house hold names will feature in the showpiece event. Nathan Aspinall crashed out in the second round with a 6-2 defeat to Kevin Doets. Shortly after the Asp's elimination, fellow Premier League star Stephen Bunting went out after a 6-4 defeat to Matt Campbell. Chris Dobey has been dumped out and so has Ryan Joyce at the hands of Ross Smith. Smith will now face Martin Schindler in the final. Today, 16:45 By Laurence Ryan We'll be back shortly... The evening and final session of this weekend is back on at 6pm BST, stay tuned for all the latest from the quarter-finals! Today, 16:00 By Laurence Ryan Dave Chisnall 3-6 Ryan Joyce For the second time this session, a 5-0 lead seemingly was not enough to secure a victory. Ryan Joyce raced away from Dave Chisnall, but Chisnall managed to come back into the tie. But, just like Dirk van Duijvenbode did earlier, Ryan Joyce got over the line, and is through. Today, 15:32 By Laurence Ryan Damon Heta 6-5 Joe Cullen The seventh leg was the first turning point in this match, but not the last. Heta no scored twice, and missed double 6, landing in double 16 before Cullen cleaned up 40. Cullen went on to hold his throw for a 5-3 lead. The Brit nearly nailed 160 for the match, but was broken by Heta, who nailed double 4 to pick up a fifth leg, with the score tied at 5-5. The Aussie then had the darts for the match, and just had more than Cullen in the last leg. Today, 15:01 By Laurence Ryan Peter Wright 5-6 Ross Smith A mixed bag from both in the early going of this one, perfectly described by Peter Wright, as he nails a 12-dart finish, and throws his first dart of the following leg into single 1. Ross Smith teased the crowd after going seven darts in a nine in the seventh leg, but managed to clean it up with 11 - however Wright kept his composure, and won the following leg. Wright punished Smith to give himself the darts, as Smith failed to take out 170 with six darts, and Wright nailed double 18-double 20 to pick up the leg, break the throw and go within one leg of victory. But, Smith broke straight back, and then gave himself the darts for victory in a last leg shootout. In the shootout, Smith failed to find a treble in his first two visits, and even saw a dart bounce out the board in his first visit, and after a 19-dart leg, Ross Smith picked up victory on double 6. Today, 14:24 By Laurence Ryan Matt Campbell 4-6 Dirk van Duijvenbode Dirk van Duijvenbode stumbles over the line in a thriller! From 5-0 up, Van Duijvenbode looked like he was cruising, but his finishing was well off what it should have been. A spirited Matt Campbell won four legs in a row, but it was all for nothing in the end. A fantastic 125 finish shows the quality of Dirk van Duijvenbode as he goes through. Today, 13:52 By Jim Sheridan Chris Dobey 6-1 Wessel Nijman A real statement win from Chris Dobey. Nijman can't get near him over seven legs - a 89.40 average won't cut it against a Premier League player. Hollywood sets up a belting clash with Martin Schindler in the next round, hitting three 180s along the way. Today, 13:28 By Jim Sheridan Kevin Doets 5-6 Martin Schindler How has Kevin Doets thrown that one away? A remarkable comeback from Martin Schindler, who trailed 5-2 and looked dead and buried. Two-time Euro Tour winner The Wall looks in terrific form this week and reels back his opponent with a thrilling comeback. Doets walks off stage shaking his head. Great drama. Today, 12:59 By Jim Sheridan Danny Noppert 5-6 Josh Rock What a fantastic match. Rocky is one of the form players on tour at the moment but was in big trouble after Noppert took him to a decider. The Dutchman had the darts - only for Rock to produce a brilliant 13-darter to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Today, 12:31 By Jim Sheridan Jermaine Wattimena 1-6 Daryl Gurney It's a disaster for The Machine Gun, who is out in double-quick time to start this Sunday feast of darts. Wattimena hardly played badly - averaging 92.65 - but Gurney was ruthless on the doubles. 6 of 13 in the outer ring for Gurney, who now faces either Josh Rock or Danny Noppert in the next round. Today, 11:30 By Alex Smith Coming up today... Jermaine Wattimena vs Daryl Gurney Danny Noppert vs Josh Rock Kevin Doets vs Martin Schindler Chris Dobey vs Wesel Nijman Matt Campbell vs Dirk van Duijvenbode Peter Wright vs Ross Smith Damon Heta vs Josh Cullen Dave Chisnall vs Ryan Joyce Today, 10:30 By Alex Smith Last night's results Damon Heta 6-5 Karel Sedlacek Peter Wright 6-3 Luke Woodhouse Jonny Clayton 3-6 Jermaine Wattimena Nathan Aspinall 2-6 Kevin Doets Chris Dobey 6-1 Ricardo Pietreczko Stephen Bunting 4-6 Matt Campbell Martin Schindler 6-3 Matthew Dennant Dave Chisnall 6-3 Ian White Today, 09:34 By Raphael Adelugba 'Could have flipped a coin' for 40-dart leg - Cullen Joe Cullen and Thibault Tricole set social media at a frenzy when they put together a 40-dart leg yesterday. Cullen on his marathon leg against Thibault Tricole at the Austrian Open: "At one point I said shall we flip a coin! "I don't think I would have been as jovial if I was on the losing end of it."
