Kim Sae-ron's Family Refutes Dating Rumours With K-Pop Idol

Fresh rumours surfaced online claiming that Kim Sae-ron had a relationship with a famous K-pop idol in 2019 and they reunited in 2022.
Actress Kim Sae-ron's death shocked many earlier this year, as she passed away at a very young age. After the tragic incident, reports about her past relationships caught attention, especially with actor Kim Soo-hyun. The Queen of Tears star reportedly dated the late actress when she was underage, which triggered controversy. Now, fresh rumours surfaced online claiming that Kim Sae-ron had a relationship with a famous K-pop idol in 2019 and they reunited in 2022.
However, a spokesperson for Kim Sae-ron's family quickly dismissed the rumours and said she was serious about her relationship with Kim Soo-hyun. They also explained that Kim Sae-ron was friendly and had many male friends because of her kind personality.
Speaking with Hankyung, a representative of the family, said, 'Kim Sae-ron was never a promiscuous person. She was always sincere when meeting people and she was originally an easygoing person with many 'male friends.' I understand that when she dated Kim Soo-hyun, her feelings for him were so deep that she didn't even have time to meet other people. The bereaved family is having a hard time because of distorted reports and YouTubers who are using such reports to indiscriminately spread information. Regardless of whether the content in question is true, the bereaved family is in great pain because of the excessive digging into their private life."
In March, Kim Sae-ron's family held a press conference to talk about how they were feeling. Their lawyer, Bu Ji Seok from Law Firm Buyou, explained that the family was going through a very difficult time, both emotionally and physically, because of the nonstop attention. He also shared something unexpected: that the family had not planned to involve Kim Soo-hyun in anything, but they had actually thought about taking legal action against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho for spreading false stories.
Bu Ji Seok said, 'The reason for holding this press conference today is to inform you of the difficulties the family is facing and to earnestly request that the criticism directed at them cease. The reason the family initially had no choice but to disclose the fact that Kim Soo Hyun had been in a relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor was to file a lawsuit against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho, who circulated false information, belittled and mocked the late Kim Sae Ron, ultimately driving her to her death."
'However, what the family received in return was Kim Soo Hyun lying that he had never been in a relationship with her. Even after evidence proving their relationship was revealed, he did not offer a single word of apology. Instead, he is now lying again, stating that their relationship only began after she became an adult. Additionally, for reasons unknown, YouTuber Lee Jin Ho and other individuals involved in the case have been recklessly exposing the private life of the late Kim Sae Ron and spreading false information about her," the lawyer added.
A month before Kim Sae-ron's family spoke to the media, actor Kim Soo-hyun had attended a press event where he confirmed that he had dated the late actress. However, he clearly said that their relationship did not begin when she was underage. After that, he decided to take legal action against Kim Sae-ron's family and Kim Se-ui, the head of Garosero Research Institute, for spreading false claims about him.
