13 May 2025 19:24 SAMIHAH ZAMAN (ALETIHAD)The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has ordered the closure of five restaurants and a supermarket, which were found to be in violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated legislations, and therefore posing a threat to public outlets that have been shut down include the following:-Pak Ravi Restaurant, located in Musaffah Industrial Area 37 -Lahore Garden Grill Restaurant & Cafeteria LLC, located in Abu Dhabi, Al Khalidiya, West 4 -Karak Future Cafeteria, located in Abu Dhabi Island, West 4 -Rukn Al Maqam Restaurant, located in Musaffah Industrial Area 37-Rich & Fresh Supermarket, located in Mohammed Bin Zayed CityADAFSA posted the closure decisions on its social media platforms, and emphasised that the administrative closures will remain in effect until the reasons for the closure are authority highlighted that the closure and the identification of observed violations are part of ongoing inspection efforts to strengthen the food safety system in Abu Dhabi. ADAFSA also encourages the public to report any violations by calling the toll-free number for the Abu Dhabi Government, 800555.

Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) issued an administrative closure order against Mana Rutchulu Restaurant in Abu Dhabi Industrial City (Licence No. CN-3918601) and Wafi Hypermarket LLC in Mussafah Industrial City, Abu Dhabi (Licence No. CN-1186859). for violating Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food safety in Abu Dhabi and its associated regulations, posing a risk to public health. ADAFSA stated that the closure decision was due to repeated high-risk violations of food safety requirements, including pest infestations, expired products, and poor hygiene practices, pointing out that despite prior warnings and the issuance of 3 and 4 violations respectively, the establishments failed to rectify the issues. ADAFSA emphasised that the closure will remain in effect until the establishments comply with all necessary requirements, rectify violations, and ensure food safety standards are met. The authority urged the public to report any food safety violations or concerns by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number 800555 so that inspectors take action to safeguard public health and ensure safe food for all residents of Abu Dhabi.

Authorities in UAE's capital Abu Dhabi have shut down a restaurant for posing a "significant risk to public health." On Tuesday, April 29, the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) said that it shut down Select Restaurant in Al Falah Street in Abu Dhabi. The restaurant, holding trade license number CN-1023844, has been found in violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated legislation. Furthermore, its practices pose a significant risk to public health, the authority said. On Thursday, April 10, the authority decided to administratively close Kohinoor restaurant located in New Shahamah for posing a significant risk to public health. In 2024, a number of dining outlets and eateries in the emirate were closed down for failing to comply with the emirate's regulations. The authority conducts regular checks of eateries and restaurants in the emirate, often shutting down places that are not operating up to local standards or violating food-related health and safety laws.

In a statement shared via social media, the authority said the restaurant, operating under trade license number CN-2205120, was engaged in practices that posed a direct threat to public health, prompting immediate enforcement action. ADAFSA emphasised that such violations compromise food hygiene and consumer safety. The authority reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all food establishments in the emirate meet the highest safety and hygiene standards. The public is urged to report suspected food safety violations via ADAFSA's official channels. Abu Dhabi closes eatery for violating food laws, posing 'significant risk to public health'

Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority has decided to administratively close an eatery in the emirate, it said on Thursday, April 17. The authority took to Instagram today to inform residents that it has issued the decision. The eatery, located in Al Shahama, was found in violation of Law No. (2) of 2008 regarding food in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its associated legislation. Tasif Restaurant, holding the trade licence number CN-2836859, was conducting practices that posed "a significant risk to public health". Last week, the authority shut down Strong Tea Cafeteria in Mohamed Bin Zayed City, for violating food safety laws in the emirate. The cafeteria was previously fined three times and issued a warning of administrative closure for the spread of pests and insects in the facility and the lack of cleanliness in it.
