MyResipi launches search for Klang Valley's best nasi lemak
KUALA LUMPUR: MyResipi has launched its 'Makan Sini Best' campaign to find the Klang Valley's best nasi lemak stall through public nominations and voting.
The campaign, which runs from Aug to Sept, will take place in three phases.
The nomination phase, which began on Aug 9 and ends on Aug 23, allows members of the public to submit their entries by commenting on MyResipi's official Facebook, TikTok or Instagram posts.
From Sept 10 to 22, the five most-nominated stalls will be shortlisted for public voting via the campaign microsite. The stall with the highest number of votes will be announced on Sept 25 and will receive an exclusive plaque from MyResipi.
HIGHLIGHTING LOCAL FAVOURITES
According to MyResipi senior sponsored content writer, Muhamad Shaifullah Tayep, the initiative aims to highlight authentic local flavours and recognise grassroots entrepreneurs, with the public playing the main role in the selection process.
"Through 'Makan Sini Best,' we want to celebrate authentic local tastes and the spirit of our grassroots entrepreneurs.
"Our goal is to let Malaysians themselves decide the true champion of nasi lemak. For us, a recommendation from the community is always the most honest one," he said.
As part of the campaign, MyResipi is organising several contests with prizes sponsored by Le Nona. During the nomination phase, participants in the Creative Photo Contest on Facebook stand a chance to win a Le Nona Rosabelle Rice Cooker 1.8L.
The voting phase will feature the Best Comment Contest, where two winners will each receive a Le Nona Jumbo Rose Wok Set.
The final phase will culminate with an award event that will also offer free nasi lemak and merchandise from partners Sunshine Bakeries Malaysia and ZUS Coffee to the first 100 visitors, with a lucky draw prize of a rice cooker for one attendee.
