What we know Leander police say the incidents happened on May 29 and May 30, from 9-11 p.m. on both nights. Several juveniles were reportedly throwing frozen water bottles from multiple different vehicles in different areas of Leander. Bottles were thrown from the sunroof of a white 2014 Dodge Durango near San Gabriel Parkway and County Road 270 in Leander, and from the truck beds of a lifted two-tone white-and-gray pickup and a dark-colored pickup with a chrome brush guard along North Bagdad Road. Police say several other incidents were also reported in Georgetown and other parts of Williamson County. Some of the bottles that were recovered were purchased from a Circle K. The incident caused damage to many windshields, headlights, and mirrors. Two people also suffered injuries to the face. People injured after ‘juveniles' threw frozen water bottles at moving vehicles, per Leander Police
LEANDER, Texas (KXAN) – The Leander Police Department said it needed help identifying 'juveniles' who threw frozen water bottles at moving vehicles, leading to injuries. On the nights of May 29 and May 30, Leander Police said several 'juveniles' reportedly threw frozen water bottles from a white 2014 Dodge Durango near San Gabriel Parkway and CR 270 and from the truck beds of a two pickup trucks, one white and the other a dark color, along North Bagdad Road. 'This incident caused damage to numerous windshields, headlights, and mirrors,' LPD said in a Facebook post. 'Two victims suffered injuries to their faces because of the incident,' the post continued. The police department said it heard of similar reports in Georgetown and 'other parts of Williamson County.' Attempted child abductions reported in Hutto, Round Rock, and Leander

This is not the first attempted child abduction reported in the Central Texas area. Within the past few months, child abductions were reported in Leander and Round Rock. Parents are encouraged to have conversations with their children about safety precautions, and to be aware of their surroundings. What we know According to Hutto police, the attempted child abduction happened recently. Two men, driving a white Ford Transit-style van, approached a child in the Riverwalk subdivision. One of the men attempted to grab the child through the open side door of the van. The child was able to provide the police with a description of one of the men. Hutto police are now asking for help identifying the suspect. He is described as a Hispanic man with a tan complexion, tattoos covering both arms, multiple piercings — including an eyebrow piercing — three gold teeth and dark-colored hair with streaks of white or blonde. Detectives are coordinating with neighboring police departments to see if there are possible links between similar cases. This investigation is ongoing. The backstory Round Rock police said on April 8, around 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a man attempting to lure children into a van near the 1700 block of E. Mesa Park Drive. The children told officers they were walking in the area when a vehicle with two suspects wearing masks pulled up beside them. They said one suspect exited the vehicle, grabbed a child by the arm, and offered candy. One child quickly intervened, allowing the children to escape and run to safety. The two suspects then fled the scene. Officers are actively investigating the incident. No arrests have been made at this time. The backstory Round Rock police said on March 13, around 5 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of W. Mesa Park Dr. after a man approached a teen and attempted to force her inside his car. Maske was booked into the Williamson County Jail and faces charges of attempted aggravated kidnapping. The investigation is ongoing. CEDAR PARK, Texas - Police are still looking for a suspect in an attempted kidnapping from earlier this month and are asking residents in the area to check their cameras. What we know Cedar Park police are asking residents in the Carriage Hills subdivision to check their security camera footage from April 1 and April 2 for any sightings of a man suspected in an attempted kidnapping. Leander PD working ‘possible attempted child abduction', suspect at large
AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Leander Police Department said it was working a 'possible attempted child abduction' Wednesday. The suspect is still at large, a post from the police department said. The incident happened at 3000 N. Lakeline Blvd. at an apartment complex, the police department said in a post. There may be police presence in the area. Police are looking for a white male, roughly 5'9″, thin build, short curly hair or bald. Police say he was described as wearing light colored shorts, a black shirt and no shoes. The man reportedly fled on foot from the apartment complex heading southbound. Police say that suspect is still at large as of their post this morning. 'No weapons were involved. The 4-year old child is safe and was not injured during this incident. Police are still actively looking for this suspect and we have a large police presence in the area, including drones and K-9. We are working closely with Leander ISD to ensure the safety of all students and staff in the area,' the police department posted. The Leander Police Department is asking you to call 512-528-2800 if you see someone matching the description of the suspect. You are asked not to approach or confront the suspect.
