Face of 'knifeman' hunted over serious attack inside a house is released by detectives on his trail

A man being hunted in relation to an assault has been pictured by the detectives on his trail. Lee Boocock, 36, is wanted by police following a serious attack which took place yesterday inside a property in Shipley, West Yorkshire, and left a man critically injured. It is said that the man's injuries are 'not life-threatening' but the force now wish to speak with Boocock about the incident. The 36-year-old is described as being around 5ft 9ins tall and is said to have a slim build. He was last seen wearing a charcoal-coloured t-shirt, dark coloured jeans and dark trainers with white soles. In an image released in relation to the force's appeal, a man fitting that description wielding what appears to be a knife can be seen walking with his head down next to a dark car. West Yorkshire Police say they are 'seriously concerned' about Boocock's welfare and that have they launched enquiries to locate his whereabouts. However, members of the public have been told not to approach Boocock if they see him. A statement in the force's appeal reads: 'Enquiries into the incident suggest that he may be carrying a knife and for this reason the public are strongly advised not to approach him.' Instead, police have requested that they are contacted immediately if there are any sightings of Boocock. Any sighting reports can be lodged by calling 999 and quoting log 1463 of August 15.
