P.E.I. racetrack says protocols are in place to make sure horses don't suffer in super-hot weather
The Red Shores track in Charlottetown is taking extra steps to ensure horses can still race in high heat conditions. Officials are creating cold areas for horses, taking temperatures before a race, and giving horses cold showers after they compete.
