Dibrugarh University launches Korean language Wall Magazine
Dibrugarh: The office of international affairs at Dibrugarh University, in collaboration with Korean language students, on Tuesday inaugurated the Korean Language Wall Magazine, marking a significant step in promoting Korean culture and linguistic studies on the campus.
The event was jointly inaugurated by university vice-chancellor Jiten Hazarika and Lee Ki Seuk, a distinguished guest from South Korea.
The Korean Language Wall Magazine will serve as a creative platform for students to showcase articles, artworks and literary pieces in Korean, promoting cultural and academic engagement. "This initiative bridges the gap between Indian and Korean cultures, encouraging students to explore new linguistic and artistic horizons," the VC said.
"It is a vibrant window into Korea's rich heritage. Such initiatives strengthen the bond between our nations and inspire young learners to embrace Korean language and traditions," Lee Ki Seuk said.
The university has been actively promoting Korean studies since February 2023, when it initially introduced a certificate course in Korean language, in collaboration with the World Fragrant Cooperation (WFC), Sejong, and the Borahi Foundation, Assam.
