4th-grade Sioux City history exhibits being displayed at museum
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Public Museum is displaying Sioux City history exhibits that were all created by local fourth graders.
The exhibit was opened on March 15 and displays 100 projects from fourth-grade students, offering visitors lessons on information from Sioux City's past, according to a release. 17 local schools taught lessons on the city's history, and approximately 861 students made projects, with 100 of them being selected for the display.
Projects were chosen based on details such as uniqueness, quality, and how they relate to the history of Sioux City, the museum said.
Some of the projects cover topics such as the Leeds Airport, the Grandview Water Towers, the Haddock Murder Trial, Cudahy Packing Co., South Ravine Park, Smith School, Samaritan Hospital, Walgreens, and Greenville Pharmacy.
