PETALING JAYA: A 42-year-old social media influencer has admitted to unlawfully entering the residence of local actress Zarina Anjoulie, with sentencing in the case scheduled for next month. Nurul Nur Ariani Muhammad Zahari entered a guilty plea when the criminal trespass charge was read before Sessions court judge Mohamad Kamil Nizam in Seremban on Monday, May 19, according to Harian Metro. Court documents show the incident occurred around 5pm on May 7 at a property located in Kampung Chelet, Nilai. The defendant was charged under Section 447 of the Penal Code, which carries penalties of up to six months imprisonment, a fine not exceeding RM3,000, or both upon conviction. During the proceedings, deputy public prosecutor Nadia Ezzati Mohd Zainal proposed bail be set at RM8,000 pending sentencing on June 19. However, defense counsel K. Gejalaxmi from the Legal Aid Department successfully argued for a reduced amount, citing her client's financial responsibilities toward her children, ailing father, and siblings. After considering these circumstances, the court granted bail at RM2,500 with one surety.

SEREMBAN: A 41-year-old woman pleaded guilty at the Sessions Court here to a charge of trespassing into the home of actress Zarina Anjoulie. Nurul Nur Ariani Muhammad Zahari did not contest the charge after it was read to her before judge Mohamad Kamil Nizam on Monday (May 19). The accused, a social media influencer, was charged under Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass. She was charged with committing the offence around 5pm on May 7 at a house in Kg Chelet in Nilai. Offenders can be jailed up to six months or fined up to RM3,000 or both upon conviction. The court set June 19 for sentencing. Deputy public prosecutor Nadia Ezzati Mohd Zainal told the court her team was offering the accused bail of RM8,00 pending sentencing. However, lawyer K. Gejalaxmi from the Legal Aid Department pleaded for a lower amount as the accused was self-employed and had to provide for her children, ailing father and siblings. The court then set bail at RM2,500 with one surety.

SEREMBAN: Five friends claimed trial at the Magistrate's Court here to charges of causing grievous hurt to a secondary school boy and rioting. Nur Ezwan Ezanie Rohaizad, 24; Nur Ariq Farhan Ismail, 21; Shazrin Shah Mohd Norazham, 19; and two others aged 17 pleaded not guilty after the charges were read to them before magistrate Nurul Saqinah Rosli. The first charge alleges that, along with others who remain at large, they caused grievous hurt to a 17-year-old male victim. The alleged offence was committed at the Kampung Sentosa Jaya futsal court around 11pm on May 8. They were charged under Section 325 of the Penal Code read together with Section 34 of the same legislation, which carries a jail term of up to seven years and a fine upon conviction. They also faced a second charge of rioting at the same place and time. For this offence, they were charged under Section 147 of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of up to two years or both upon conviction. Deputy public prosecutor P. Rubini proposed a bail of RM7,000 for each of the accused in relation to the charge of causing grievous hurt and RM6,000 for the charge of rioting. Razqeeyanur Sarini Salzali from the Legal Aid Department, representing the five, pleaded for a lower bail. She said the three accused earned between RM1,000 and RM1,500 a month. The younger offenders would be bailed by their mothers, who each earned RM1,000 doing odd jobs. The court then offered a bail of RM4,500 with one surety for each of the accused and ordered them to stay away from the victim. Nurul Saqinah then fixed June 16 for mention.
