Roman Reigns In Talks For Key Role In Live-Action Street Fighter Movie
Roman Reigns is in the running for a major movie role. According to a new report from Deadline, Roman Reigns is one of the people being considered for a role in a new live-action film based on the iconic Street Fighter video game series. In addition to Roman Reigns, Andrew Koji (Bullet Train), Jason Momoa (A Minecraft Movie), and Noah Centineo (Warfare) are reported to be in talks to star in the live-action Street Fighter movie produced by Legendary Pictures. Reps for Legendary declined comment to Deadline, and the plot of the film remains a secret. So far, the film has brought on Kitao Sakurai as director. However, it's unclear who wrote and will produce the action film based on the Capcom video game series. According to Hollywood reporter Jeff Sneider (The InSneider), Roman Reigns will play the role of Akuma. Sneider also noted that Reigns is represented by Bad Toro. Reigns' past acting credits include playing Mateo Hobbs in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and a voice-acting role on Disney's Elena of Avalor series. Akuma is the younger brother of Gouken, Ryu and Ken's master. Akuma debuted as a secret final boss character in Super Street Fighter II Turbo. He has appeared in multiple games since then, including 2023's Street Fighter 6. Roman Reigns last competed at WrestleMania 41. Reigns faced CM Punk and Seth Rollins, who won the match and aligned with Paul Heyman. Reigns' last television appearance came on the April 21 episode of WWE RAW, when he was laid out by Rollins and his new partner, Bron Breakker. As is the case with pro wrestling, things could always change. However, Reigns is not expected to return to WWE TV for 'a while.' Report: You'll Never Guess Which Street Fighter Role Roman Reigns Is Up For
Roman Reigns could be headed back to Hollywood soon for a role in the new live-action Street Fighter movie. Earlier this morning, Deadline reported that WWE Superstar Roman Reigns is up for a mystery role in Legendary Pictures' live-action Street Fighter movie, based on the popular Capcom fighting game franchise. We now have a very intriguing update as it pertains to which role The Tribal Chief is being considered for. According to Jeff Sneider, Roman Reigns is up for the role of Akuma. Who is considered by many one of the most badass characters in the entire franchise. This same news was also reported hours later by Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select). While Noah Centineo and Andrew Koji are reportedly up for the roles of Ken and Ryu, respectively, there are no reports regarding who Jason Momoa could be up for. Wrestling fans have made many jokes in recent years are how similar Reigns and Momoa look. So it's very possible that both men are up for the same role. While Momoa is clearly the bigger name, he has lost another role to a wrestler in the past, as both he and Dave Bautista were up for the role of Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy. Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available. READ MORE: Roman Reigns In Talks For Key Role In Live-Action Street Fighter Movie What do you make of this report? Godzilla x Kong: Supernova announced – but can the sequel fix what fans hated?
Kaiju fans, brace yourselves because the next chapter in the Monsterverse saga officially has a name, and it is fiery. Legendary Pictures just revealed that Godzilla x Kong: Supernova is on its way, with an exclusive theatre release date set for March 26, 2026. Or wait, was it 2027? There is already chaos in the timeline, as fans spotted a conflicting date of March 26, 2027 in a cheeky tweet by the official account. Please stand by. Your call is very important to us.#GodzillaXKong: Supernova | Now in production. Only in theaters March 26, 2027 Report a Titan Sighting. Call (240) MON-ARCH The Titans are back, and so are the internet's hot takes Directed by Grant Sputore, known for the sci-fi gem I Am Mother, this sequel is still very much in production. But the hype machine is already in full swing. The official Godzilla x Kong page on X (yes, formerly Twitter, we know, cringe) dropped a cryptic message: 'Please stand by. Your call is very important to us.' It also came with a phone number, yes, really, inviting fans to report a Titan sighting. Fan reactions: More roars, less bores? Of course, the fans wasted no time sliding into comment sections with raw, unfiltered energy. One long-time Godzilla enthusiast made it clear: they are only hyped if Big G gets the screen time he deserves. Others practically begged the studio not to fumble the script, with someone straight-up saying that the writing better not be trash this time. Many seem haunted by memories of Godzilla being sidelined in the previous film. New faces, old monsters, and a world on the brink Godzilla x Kong: Supernova will throw fresh human characters into the mix, all while the Titans (yes, Godzilla and Kong, our giant angry boys) deal with a looming world-ending catastrophe. Basically, it is going to be chaotic, dramatic, and hopefully epic. Godzilla x Kong: Supernova star cast The cast lineup is actually stacked: Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O'Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill are all on board. Oh, and Dan Stevens is back as Trapper Beasley, the monster vet from The New Empire, aka the Monsterverse's highest-grossing film so far. The screenplay is penned by Dave Callaham, the genius behind Shang-Chi, so fingers crossed the dialogue will slay this time. And yes, the Monsterverse continues to spread like Godzilla fan theories, with Netflix's Skull Island and Apple TV's Monarch: Legacy of Monsters already expanding the universe. So, what now? Well, keep your calendars messy for 2027, the Titans are coming, and they are coming loud. Just pray the plot does not get buried under buildings again.

Next 'Godzilla' Movie Reveals Epic Title as It Teases First Footage Ahead of 2027 Debut
The next film in the Monsterverse saga will be called Dan Stevens will reprise his role as Trapper Beasley. New cast members include Kaitlyn Dever, Delroy Lindo and Sam Neill arrives in theaters March 26, 2027Get ready for more Godzilla! On Friday, May 9, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures released the epic title for the Monsterverse saga's next film. The sequel to 2024's Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire will be called Godzilla x Kong: Supernova and releases in theaters on March 26, 2027. Along with the title reveal, a short teaser video released on YouTube gives a glimpse into the inner workings of the mysterious Monarch organization that tracks Titans. As people walk about the Monarch office, a voiceover says there have been numerous Titans sightings recently. A computer display shows a hotline — (240) MON-ARCH or 240-666-2724 — that fans can actually call to "report a Titan sighting" and receive an automated message. 'Thank you for calling the Monarch Community Support Hotline, your global resource for Titan response and relief. Your help reporting Titan sightings plays a critical role in keeping our world safe,' the call says. Directed by Grant Sputore, Supernova marks the sixth film for the franchise, which began with 2014's Godzilla. In 2024's New Empire, Godzilla and Kong united to battle against a powerful Titan threat, "The Empire," which emerged from the Hollow Earth. Along with what will likely be plenty of monster action, Dan Stevens will reprise his role as Trapper Beasley. New cast members include Kaitlyn Dever, Jack O'Connell, Delroy Lindo, Matthew Modine, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Sam Neill. Rebecca Hall, who played Dr. Ilene Andrews in New Empire, previously told PEOPLE how it can be challenging to remain serious on set while sharing time with giant CGI monsters. "When it comes to imagining Godzilla and Kong, that's tough," Hall said. "That's tough, because more often than not it's a tennis ball on a stick." "At one pivotal moment when [Kaylee Hottle's character] Jia reaches across and touches Kong's hand, they literally had a foam hand with a pointy finger that they were just putting up towards her. That was hard not to laugh at," she added. Read the original article on People
