KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A popular brewery in the Kansas City metro announced it's closing on Facebook today, June 4. Pathlight Brewing, located in Shawnee, Kansas, says that it's 'with heavy hearts' that the decision was made. The brewery hosted events of all natures from run clubs, to music bingo and sports watch parties since 2020. New comedy club opening at the Legends Outlets this month Pathlight's mission was about more than just brewing exceptional beer – it was about creating an inclusive space where this craft could spark community connection,' the brewery wrote on Facebook. 'New friendships were forged as patrons and staff bonded over everything from barleywine to Formula 1. This was the vision, and Pathlight nailed it.' However, the brewery did say that there will be a farewell party on the weekend of June 20, which is the fifth anniversary of Pathlight Brewing. New, free shuttle coming to downtown Overland Park this summer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The city of Overland Park announced that a new means of transportation will soon arrive in its historic downtown. According to the city, starting on Saturday, residents and visitors will be able to catch a free ride on the circulator shuttle, which will take passengers from City Hall to the heart of downtown Overland Park. New comedy club opening at the Legends Outlets this month The shuttle will run every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. until July 26. The city says the new addition offers visitors easier access to downtown, allowing them to spend more time at the farmers' market and local businesses. 'This shuttle service makes visiting Downtown OP even easier,' Mayor Curt Skoog said in a statement. 'It's my hope that visitors and residents will come for the Farmers' Market and stay for our wonderful downtown shops and restaurants before hopping a ride home.' The shuttle's route will start and end at City Hall; however, there will be four stops in between: Overland Park City Hall at 85th and Antioch Santa Fe Drive at Clock Tower Plaza 79th and Marty Mid-block between 79th and 80th on Floyd 80th and Marty It will arrive every 15 minutes at these locations, and riders can get on and off at any stop. KCK bank robbed at about same time school went on lockdown

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The FBI is looking for a man suspected of robbing a U.S. Bank branch on Parallel Parkway on Friday morning. The bank robbery occurred shortly after a Kansas City, Kansas, school went on lockdown. The FBI says the bank robbery happened at about 9:35 a.m., at a U.S. Bank on Parallel Parkway near North 110th Street, close to the Legends Outlets. No Super Bowl rally if Kansas City Chiefs beat Philadelphia Eagles Agents are looking for one man who is about 6'5″ and 250 pounds. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, neon mask and sunglasses. He had a gun, demanded money and left. The FBI didn't say how much money he took. Lowell Brune Elementary, which is about three miles east down Parallel, went on lockdown about 10 minutes before the robbery due to reports of an armed person headed toward campus. Officers with KCKPD and KCKPS responded to the school and determined there was no threat.
