Beverley gallery hosts history of the world in Lego exhibition
Key moments from history are set to be brought to life as part of a Lego exhibition which opens this weekend in East History features well-known figures from the past including Mozart and Martin Luther King, as well as ground-breaking scientific discoveries such as the creation of the events such as the moon landings are also exhibition runs from 5 July until 30 August at Beverley Art Gallery.
The exhibition, which starts with a free Lego mosaic workshop, has been created by Lego artist Warren Elsmore and his themes include the rise of civilisation, revolutionary social changes and advances in science and technology such as mobile curator Hannah Willetts said: "We are so excited to share this exhibition with families and Lego enthusiasts this summer. "A journey through history brought to life in Lego bricks."Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said it was "a unique and creative way" to explore world history.
