‘Lego Voyagers' Co-Op Adventure Sets September Release From Annapurna Interactive (Gaming News Roundup)
The video game Lego world is expanding with a new creative co-op adventure game, 'Lego Voyagers,' debuting in September from Annapurna Interactive and Light Brick Studio. According to the game's official description, 'From the makers of 'LEGO Builder's Journey' comes a new 2-player co-op adventure about friendship and play. When two friends make it their mission to rescue an abandoned spaceship, they embark on a journey beyond their wildest dreams, ultimately learning the value of being connected.' The game's release will come approximately one year after a massive shakeup at Annapurna that occurred when the entire staff of gaming division Annapurna Interactive quit. Per the developers, the 'Lego Voyagers' co-op game will allow players to: Experience what it feels like to be a Lego brick. Tumble, jump, snap together, and build your way through rich brick worlds. Unravel a poetic, nonverbal narrative, set in beautiful brick-built environments, supported by an atmospheric soundtrack. Cooperatively solve the game's many challenges and discover how two bricks are better than one. Play locally on the same screen, or online. Invite a friend to join your adventure for free with the Friend's Pass. As long as one of you owns 'Lego Voyagers,' you can both play the full co-op experience together. Co-op puzzle game Lego Voyagers will arrive on September 15
We got our first look at Lego Voyagers back at Summer Game Fest in June. As it turned out, Light Brick Studio ( Lego Builder's Journey ) and publisher Annapurna Interactive weren't kidding about the "coming soon" aspect of the reveal trailer. That's because Lego Voyagers is set to hit PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) on September 15 . Lego Voyagers is a physics-based, co-op puzzle game for two players. You and a buddy will each control Lego bricks as you attempt to rescue an abandoned spaceship. The blue and red pieces snap together with other blocks and can build structures to help navigate these worlds. You'll be able to play together locally on the same system or online. If you choose the latter route, only one of you needs to own the game for you both to play it, thanks to the Friend's Pass system. According to Annapurna, Lego Voyagers "asks open questions about building friendships, sharing dreams and giving space. It reminds us that while playing and being creative is for all shapes and sizes, it's always better when you share it with a friend." That sounds quite lovely to me.

Annapurna Interactive showed off a first like at Lego Voyagers at Summer Game Fest Live, the next game from Light Brick Studio, the developers of Lego Builder's Journey . Lego Voyagers is co-op puzzle game where you and a friend will play as two Lego studs, traveling through a realistic, brick-based world solving puzzles. The trailer showed off several different locales your studs will journey through, including a Lego speedboat and rocket launch. To make your way through the game's various challenges, you'll move and build new structures by picking up bricks with your studs. The game looks like it builds on the calming vibes of Builder' s Journey , but with a focus on co-op gameplay. Light Brick's first game worked like a riff on Monument Valley , tasking you with building a path for your bricks through a minimalistic Lego world. Voyagers takes things in a Split Fiction- direction, just with a lot more chill. Lego Voyagers is "coming soon" to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Nintendo Switch and PC. You'll be able to play with a friend using only one copy of the game thanks to a feature called Friend's Pass.
