Lehi family holds vigil for 14-year-old girl in critical condition after being struck by vehicle
LEHI, Utah () — The 14-year-old girl is in critical condition in the hospital, and family hosted a vigil for her Monday night at Willowcreek Middle School. According to family, Jenna Sharp is currently in critical condition in the ICU at Primary Children's Hospital. She was leaving a church dance when she was struck. 'We've been deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support from friends, family, and our community. Your kind messages, prayers, and care have meant more than we can express and are truly helping to carry us through,' the family said in a statement. She also stated that Willowcreek Middle School is providing services for any youth who were affected or may have been at the dance. 14-year-old girl struck by vehicle, severely injured at Lehi Rodeo grounds
LEHI, Utah (ABC4) — A 14-year-old girl was airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Lehi Friday night, according to Lehi police. Police said she suffered severe head trauma in the accident. Just before 11:15 p.m. on May 30, police received 'several calls' regarding an accident in the area of 500 West and 100 North, in front of the Lehi Rodeo grounds. A multi-stake dance was reportedly being held at the Rodeo grounds, and as youth were leaving the dance, a 14-year-old girl was hit by a vehicle heading south on 500 West. Witnesses and officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived, police said. The girl was then taken by ambulance to a local hospital before being Life-Flighted to a hospital in Salt Lake City. She reportedly suffered severe head trauma in the accident. Police said her current medical condition is unknown at this time. The driver involved in the incident cooperated with Lehi police. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time. No further information is currently available. Interstate 15 temporarily shutdown near Timpanogos Highway in Lehi
LEHI, Utah (ABC4) — Northbound I-15 in Lehi was temporarily shut down early Saturday evening due to a incident. According to the UDOT Traffic X/Twitter account, multiple lanes were closed around 6:15 p.m. due to a medical incident. Utah Highway Patrol confirms the freeway was temporarily closed near Timpanogos Highway so a medical helicopter could land.
