Woman dies after crash on Welsh road
A woman has died following a crash in Anglesey. The single-vehicle collision happened on the A5 between Valley and Holyhead in an area known as The Cob. It took place sometime between 11pm on Saturday, May 31 and 12.14am on Sunday, June 1. Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital, where she sadly died. Her family has been informed. Sergeant Leigh McCann of the North Wales Police roads crime unit is appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward. He said: 'I am urging anybody who may have been in the area at the time, anybody who witnessed the collision, or anyone who saw a black Citroen C3 being driven in the area between these times, to contact us. 'I am also asking anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the vehicle to get in touch. 'Our thoughts are with the lady's family at this very difficult time, who are being supported by officers.' Woman dies after late night road accident on Anglesey
A woman has sadly died after a collision on a main road on Anglesey. The crash happened on the A5 either late last night or early this morning. The casualty was taken to hospital but tragically did not survive. Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them. Motorcyclist killed and passenger seriously hurt in A5 crash
The pillion passenger was seriously injured following in the incident at Capel Curig on Saturday, May 10. Police were called at 5.31pm by the Welsh Ambulance Service to a report of collision involving a red-coloured Honda motorcycle and a white-coloured Volkswagen Caddy van. North Wales Police said: "The emergency services attended, however despite the best efforts of all involved, the male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. "The female pillion passenger was airlifted to hospital in Stoke with serious, potentially life-changing injuries. "The driver of the van sustained what was believed to be minor injuries." The motorcyclist's family have been informed. Police are appealing for witnesses. Sergeant Leigh McCann, of the Roads Crime Unit, said: 'Our thoughts are with the motorcyclist's family at this sad time. 'The investigation to establish the cause of the collision is underway and we are urging anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who may have been travelling along the A5 near Capel Curig around the time of the collision and who may have dash cam footage to come forward. 'The road remains closed in both directions at this time, and we'd like to thank the local community and motorists for their patience.'
