Some Lean Cuisine, Stouffers meals recalled for possible presence of wood. What to know

Nestlé USA is voluntarily recalling three different Lean Cuisine frozen meals and Stouffer's party-size chicken lasagna after customers reported finding "wood-like material." There has been at least one potential choking incident so far, the company said in a release Monday. The products were sold at major retailers between September 2024 and March 2025. "We are actively investigating the source of the wood-like material. We are confident that this is an isolated issue, and we have taken action to address it," the release stated. The following frozen meals from Nestlé USA have been recalled. Batch numbers and Best Before dates, visible on the packaging, are below each one. The latest not-food-in-your-food recall pulls Lean Cuisine and Stouffer's frozen meals from shelves at Walmart, Publix, Kroger, Kroger-owned chains and other grocers. As explained by Nestle USA's recall notice, customers told Nestle about meals with 'wood-like material,' and there has been 'one potential choking incident' so far.
