Notoriously private Perth star shares rare baby pic

Tame Impala's Kevin Parker has offered fans a first glimpse of his newborn baby, with the Perth-raised music star and wife Sophie celebrating the recent arrival of their second child. The couple have not publicly revealed the child's name or gender. Marrying in 2019, Parker and Sophie welcomed their daughter Peach in 2021. Their wholesome news coincides with somewhat of a re-birth for Parker as an artist, with the Let It Happen hitmaker building up to the release of his fifth studio album under the Tame Impala moniker following his 2020 project The Slow Rush. In mid-July, the 39-year-old told fans he'd 'been busy' as he unveiled a heavily pregnant Sophie, alongside snapshots from his recent movements both in Europe and WA. Parker's newborn could be seen sleeping peacefully on his chest as he lay on the couch. Other images depicted the producer attending a Fremantle Dockers game, spinning the decks alongside Aussie producer Kito, and hijinks from his End of Summer music video shoot in Barcelona. The long-awaited July release could not have come soon enough for fans who had been patiently awaiting new Tame Impala music. Parker has written and produced alongside several mega stars, including Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Kanye West, and has been covered by Rihanna. With deep roots in Perth, the singer-songwriter was a special guest at the June birthday bash of Fremantle Dockers captain Alex Pearce, held at Patio Bar. As the club's number one ticket holder, he is regularly spotted in the Freo rooms, and even produced a hype track for the club that is often played throughout Optus Stadium on game day. However, some fans were less sentimental, and instead encouraged Parker to prioritise his musical endeavours. 'I will rearrange my entire schedule for tour dates,' one fan said. Another added, 'Just drop the album bro'. Parker released hugely popular album Currents in 2015, with his earlier Tame Impala projects Lonerism and Innerspeaker coming in 2012 and 2010 respectively. With more than 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify, his festival favourite The Less I Know The Better has racked up an impressive two billion streams on the platform.

Fans Share Confused Reaction To Gracie Abrams' Bold Claim About Taylor Swift

Social media users are sharing their confused reactions to Gracie Abrams and a shocking claim she made about Taylor Swift. The pair teamed up during Swift's record-breaking "Eras Tour," where Abrams opened with songs of her own, including "Risk," "That's So True," and "Let It Happen." Surely, Abrams feels grateful to Swift for allowing her to take part in her electric worldwide tour, which is likely why she shared bold claims about the Grammy winner's superstardom. However, after hearing her comments about Taylor Swift, fans have been sharing their stunned reactions all over. It's no secret that Swift is a pop culture icon. Her tour, which wrapped in December 2024, brought in over $2 billion in revenue after two years of star-studded performances. The show, which visited five continents, began in March 2023 and featured Swift's entire catalog, starting with "Lover" before ending with "Midnights." Swift also released a concert film, which, of course, shattered box offices, selling $96 million worth of tickets in its opening weekend. Later, figures confirmed the movie grossed just over $265 million, making it the highest-earning concert film of all time. The multihyphenate later sold the rights to the film to Disney, making another $75 million from that deal, too. All of this combined led Abrams to praise Swift, 35, for doing to the pop industry what she believed no other "man has come close" to being able to accomplish. 'People will still gaslight her and her capabilities and all this sh-t,' Abrams told Rolling Stone. 'But please point me to one man who has come close to defining pop culture in this way. There is nothing! But people are not ready for that conversation.' On Reddit, fans couldn't help but respond to Abrams' claims about Swift and her contribution to the pop music industry. Immediately, netizens began clapping back, mentioning superstar musicians, including Michael Jackson, Elvis, and Beyoncé. "MJ and Elvis didn't exist then, I guess?" someone asked. "Like, I know [Abrams] is young, and they were bad guys. But, come on." Someone else also chimed in, saying age has nothing to do with Abrams and her "what the f-ck takes." "Age is no excuse," they wrote. "Michael Jackson is quite literally the king of pop, and he did it in an era [when] phones weren't a thing." However, they didn't stop there. The poster also mentioned Beyoncé, saying if she were "white and blonde, she'd have the same amount of awards, if not more than [Taylor Swift]. But some people don't want to have that conversation." On the other hand, though, one user said they were "ready for the conversation" Abrams feels Hollywood should be having, but it can't be centered on "streams and numbers." The 67th Annual Grammys, which took place in early February 2025, featured many A-list celebrities, including Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, and Swift. The latter's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," received five nominations; however, it won zero, which rubbed many Swifties the wrong way. "Even Taylor Swift's best album, i.e., 'Reputation,' doesn't have any Grammys. So, I'm not surprised they snubbed her second best—'The Tortured Poets Department,'" one user shared on X, formerly Twitter. Someone else clearly agreed, writing that Swift's snub was not on their "bingo card" for 2025. Despite the losses, though, Swift was spotted at this year's ceremony living her best life in a beautiful red gown with a matching red lip and heels to go. In addition to presenting Beyoncé with the Grammy for Best Country Album, fans were living for the "Cruel Summer" singer's reactions in the audience. Many fans enjoyed seeing a clip of her dancing to Lamar's "Not Like Us," while others praised her for raising a glass to the Compton-born rapper for sweeping his five nominations. In addition to her record-breaking tour and chart-topping albums, Swift's name has been on everybody's lips because of her relationship with NFL player Travis Kelce. Since attending her first Kansas City Chiefs game in September 2023, the National Football League has clearly leaned toward focusing more on Swift during its broadcasts. However, all of the attention and eyes that Swift brings as a person have reportedly caused the singer some concern. As The Blast reported, Swift will attend the Super Bowl on February 9, 2025, to cheer on Kelce, Patrick Mahomes, and the Chiefs as they try to make history by earning a three-peat during this year's competition. Although excited for the big game, the "Lavender Haze" singer "doesn't want to be the center of attention." "She wants Travis to enjoy his Super Bowl week experience and be at 110% for Sunday, as she is dreaming about him making Super Bowl history and reaching another dream of his, winning another Super Bowl and making a three-peat," a source said. Another famous face who will be in the Super Bowl audience on Sunday, February 9, is the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. The former reality star has previously shared strong opinions about Swift. In one social media post, he attacked the singer after she endorsed Kamala Harris during the 2024 election. "I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT," he wrote. Despite that, though, Kelce told reporters during the upcoming game's press conference that he was excited about playing in front of Trump. "That's awesome. It's a great honor," the tight end said before saying he has respect for whoever sits behind the desk in the Oval Office. "I think, you know, no matter who the president is, I know I'm excited because it's the biggest game of my life," he continued. "And having the president there, you know, it's the best country in the world. So, that'd be pretty cool."
