Linkin Park's ‘From Zero' Rocks Album Charts After Deluxe Reissue
Linkin Park's 2024 album From Zero returns to a bevy of Billboard's album charts (dated May 31) following its deluxe reissue with additional tracks on May 16. The set reenters Top Album Sales (at No. 5), Top Hard Rock Albums (No. 4), Vinyl Albums (No. 8), Top Alternative Albums (No. 9), Top Rock Albums (No. 15), Top Rock & Alternative Albums (No. 17), Indie Store Album Sales (No. 17) and the Billboard 200 (No. 71). From Zero debuted at No. 1 on all of the above charts last November, save for the Billboard 200 and Top Album Sales, where it arrived at No. 2. The same week From Zero's deluxe impacted the album charts, one of the new songs added to the project, 'Up From the Bottom,' hit No. 1 on both the Alternative Airplay and Mainstream Rock Airplay charts. In the tracking week ending May 22, From Zero earned 14,000 equivalent album units (up 173%), with traditional album sales comprising 7,500 of that sum (up 531%). The latter figure pushes the album's reentry on Top Album Sales at No. 5. Elsewhere in the top 10 of the all-genre Top Album Sales chart, five albums debut in the region from Morgan Wallen, Jin, BOYNEXTDOOR, Sleep Theory and MEOVV. Billboard's Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart's history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album (TEA) units and streaming equivalent album (SEA) units. Wallen's I'm the Problem launches at No. 1 on Top Album Sales with a career-best 133,000 sold, marking his fourth top 10-charting effort (all have reached the top three). Jin's Echo enters at No. 2 with 35,000 sold, garnering the singer his second effort to reach the top three. BOYNEXTDOOR's 4th EP: No Genre starts at a career-high No. 3 with nearly 14,000 sold; it's the fourth top 10 for the act. Sleep Token's Even in Arcadia falls 1-4 in its second week on the chart (nearly 8,000; down 90%), while the aforementioned From Zero reenters the list at No. 5. Kali Uchis' Sincerely. retreats 2-6 in its second week (just over 7,000; down 81%), Kendrick Lamar's chart-topping GNX climbs 8-7 (7,000; up 6%) and P1Harmony's DUH! dips 3-6 in its second week (nearly 7,000; down 69%). Rounding out the latest top 10 is Sleep Theory's first full-length set Afterglow, which scores the band its first top 10 (and chart entry) with its No. 9 debut (6,500) and MEOVV, who sees their debut EP My Eyes Open VVIDE start at No. 10 (6,000). The expanded set, which bolts up the Billboard charts this week thanks to a surge in sales and streams, features three new tracks, though only one had not been previously shared. Following the full-length project dropping as a complete effort, its one brand new cut, 'Let You Fade,' debuts on a number of rankings this week. The tune nearly grants the hard rockers another No. 1, but two other stars keep the band from the top spot. 'Let You Fade' launches at No. 2 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. According to Luminate, in its first full tracking frame of availability, the track sold just under 1,600 copies. The song is held from the summit by 'God Is a Weapon,' the new collaboration between Falling in Reverse and Marilyn Manson. That tune opens at No. 1 on the same tally and beats Linkin Park's latest by roughly 500 pure purchases. 'Let You Fade' marks Linkin Park's thirty-second top 10 hit on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. It would have been the group's landmark fifteenth No. 1, but for now, the band will have to settle for a close second — just shy of the summit. The new track is one of several Linkin Park cuts to narrowly miss leading the tally. As it arrives, it joins fellow fan favorites like 'What I've Done,' 'Lost in the Echo,' 'Wastelands,' and 'More the Victim,' all of which peaked at No. 2 over the years. Manson earns his fourth No. 1 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart as 'God Is a Weapon' debuts. Falling in Reverse, meanwhile, secures its milestone tenth leader. While Linkin Park doesn't add to its count this time, it's worth noting that the Grammy-winning band has already accrued as many No. 1s as both of those chart-toppers combined.

The rockers released the deluxe version of their comeback album From Zero on Friday, with three additional tracks. The songs include "Let You Fade," "Unshatter" and the previously released "Up from the Bottom." Fans voiced their love for "Let You Fade" in the YouTube video's comment section. "The quality of Linkin Park's music in this era is still on another level," one fan wrote. From Zero was Linkin Park's first album in over seven years. It is the first to feature new singer Emily Armstrong and drummer Colin Brittain.
