The 29-year-old recently left League One side Bolton Wanderers after coming to the end of his current deal, having made 25 league appearances for the club last season. According to Football Insider's Peter O'Rourke, Swansea one of several sides to have shown an interest in taking him on a free transfer, but could face competition from Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County. The club also remain in discussions with Harry Darling over a possible new deal. Watford poised to clinch Kyprianou deal Watford are reportedly close to confirming a move for former Swansea City target Hector Kyprianou. The midfielder was the subject of a failed bid from the Swans in January, and has now left Peterborough United as a free agent this summer. Article continues below It's not clear whether he was earmarked as a potential target this time around, but the Watford Observer has now claimed that a move for the outgoing Posh captain could even be completed later today. O'Brien opens door to Swansea return next season
Lewis O'Brien says he would "definitely" be open to re-joining Swansea City next season if the Championship club were to agree a deal with Nottingham Forest.O'Brien, 26, has been a standout performer for Swansea since arriving on loan from Forest in midfielder believes he has played "probably the best football" he has produced since leaving Huddersfield Town to join a Forest side who had just been promoted to the Premier League in 2022.O'Brien says it will be "hard to say goodbye" to Swansea when his loan stint ends next month – but has opened the door to a return."I have really enjoyed my time here," he said.
