2025 Lexus LX 700h driving impressions and highlights
USA TODAY tested the 2025 Lexus 700h Overtrail equipped with Lexus' optional 25-speaker Mark Levinson sound system ($118, 010 MSRP). The LX Hybrid's gargantuan body style was intimidating at first, but the SUV's panoramic view monitor made parking effortless. The cameras alert drivers of all surrounding objects and vehicles, so parking the massive SUV is a breeze.
A head-up display is always a welcome feature, giving the Japanese SUV a futuristic feel. Blind-spot monitoring makes switching lanes easy so the LX's size wasn't an issue on the highway.
The multifunction massaging seats stole the show for passengers during our review experience. What stands out most about the LX Hybrid is how luxurious its cabin is for such a capable SUV.
There's no doubt that it has off-roading chops due to its adaptive variable suspension and 33.0-inch all-terrain tires. What's surprising is that the second row feels more like being seated in a high rise office or modern coworking space than a family SUV.
