Supersize me! LDV Terron 9 launching soon as one of SA's biggest bakkies
The LDV Terron 9 will be launched at the Festival of Motoring in late August.
If you're in the market for a double cab bakkie and size really matters, you might want to take a look at the new LDV Terron 9.
With an overall length of 5,500mm and 2,265mm width, the Terron 9 is significantly larger than the Ford Ranger (5,350mm long) and Toyota Hilux (5,325mm), beaten only by the Jeep Gladiator that stretches to 5,591mm.
The Chinese-owned British brand, which stands for Leyland DAF Vans, will launch its new supersized pick-up at the Festival of Motoring at Kyalami Raceway on August 28.
Pricing and specifications remain under wraps until the show later this month, but the new LDV product is rumoured to start under R800,000. It will slot above the current LDV T60 double cab range, which is priced from R480,000 to R790,000.
