Georgetown Prep rolls to seventh straight IAC golf title
The Interstate Athletic Conference golf championship at P.B. Dye in Ijamsville, Maryland, was a shotgun start, which meant the scores arrived in a steady afternoon stream after a round on the famed architect's tricky greens and tough lies.
But when the score for Georgetown Prep junior Liam Chalfant was posted, the matter was all but settled. Playing out of the No. 4 spot for the Little Hoyas, Chalfant carded a 2-over 74 on the hilly layout to claim the individual title and fuel Prep's seventh consecutive IAC title.
