The Bold and the Beautiful finally reached the showdown of the Liam and Grace arc, where Grace had falsely claimed that Liam had a brain tumor, before doing a fake surgery and removing it for a lot of money. But the process was not an easy one for Liam, and when Grace finally revealed in the latest episode of the show that it was all a ruse, it evidently led to an uproar like no other, and Hope ended up slapping Grace.
Fans are divided over this scene, with some saying that Grace should face the consequences of her actions.
The Bold and the Beautiful fans react to Grace's showdown with Hope and Liam
In the latest episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Grace finally revealed what she did with Liam while they were all at Bill's house. There was an initial shock and disbelief, but when Liam regained his composure, he got extremely angry at Grace for putting him and his family through this.
Grace tried to explain how she had to get the money and had no choice, but even the prospect of saving her children wasn't enough for Hope and Liam. Hope slapped her in the scene.
This scene has fans divided, with some saying Grace deserved the slap after all she has put Liam and his family through, but some others brought in the question of color into this, and claimed they did not want to see such a depiction.
'I think they're doing a bit too much with Grace. Yes, she's wrong. She should be ashamed and apologetic for the horror she put Liam and his family through. But not so sorry that they get to act like her daughters' lives don't matter,' one fan wrote, for instance. Another user responded, 'I'm a black woman and Grace deserves that slap and more #BoldandBeautiful. Would it be more acceptable to you if Grace was white? I'm confused as to what color has to do with it, regardless of what ethnicity Grace is, she did a vile despicable thing to Liam and his family.'
There were also some fans who were not impressed with the storyline. 'As a Black woman, I'm disgusted seeing this,' one user said. Another stated, 'Another reason to hate Liam. Look at him trying to get to a black woman to BEAT HER UP.'
So, it is quite clear that the scene has a mixed response, and the debate will rage on amongst fans.
