Lando Norris Praises Liberty Walk
Read the full story on Backfire News When Formula One driver Lando Norris talks, people listen, especially when it's something related to cars. That's great news for Liberty Walk, the Japanese tuning house known for its aggressive body kits, because the McLaren racecar driver recently heaped praise on the tuner, calling its Netherlands showroom his 'dream place, like a dream garage.'Norris has good reason to be all smiles. Not only did he get to visit the magical location, something many enthusiasts would love, Liberty Walk has built a special Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 with Kaido Racer inspiration and plenty of power. While some might think it's hilarious Norris' McLaren teammate Yuki Tsunoda who is from Japan is working with the Japanese tuner first, the reality is there's a good reason for that. First of all, Lando is an established force in F1 and so has a bigger following. Tsunoda might catch up one day, but for now his teammate outranks him in popularity by a long shot. It's not like Norris just suddenly decided he was into JDM tuning culture. He's been vocal about his love of the niche in the car hobby for a long time. Liberty Walk saw an opportunity to strengthen its brand image and took it, something we don't blame it for one bit. The R32 Liberty Walk is building for Lando Norris wears a nice widebody kit, complete with aggressive aero elements. As a Kaido-inspired build, it features an oil cooler mounted externally, not tucked out of view, along with a big intercooler. Thanks to the legendary RB26DETT twin-turbo line-six engine's ability to handle gobs of power, Godzilla has become quite popular among tuners. Norris' car apparently has over 500-horsepower on tap, a modest figure considering the type of wealth he has at his command. In other words, he's showing restraint with the build. Liberty Walk Gives A Radical Take On The Dodge Challenger
Read the full story on Backfire News Japanese tuner Liberty Walk has revealed a new body kit, and surprisingly it's for the Dodge Challenger. When most people think of Liberty Walk, American muscle cars are about the last thing on their mind. After all, the tuner has become famous for its radical takes on European exotics and Japanese rides, not muscle cars, but this is a welcome change of we've come to expect from Liberty Walk, the kit makes the Challenger look like it's slammed within an ant's breadth of the ground. The fenders are flared out quite a bit, adding to the aggressive stance. Of course, the additional body panels don't have hidden fasteners but instead those are exposed, giving the muscle car more of an industrial look, which we think works well. That theme continues with the five split-spoke wheels, which feature rivets out in plain view. Those and the tires are properly tucket partially behind the flared-out fenders. Red brake calipers peek through the spokes, adding some further jewelry to the ride. Speaking of ride, just like with other Liberty Walk builds, this kit comes with an adjustable air suspension. Some might think that chin spoiler wouldn't last two minutes of driving in the real world and it wouldn't on the lowest setting. Revealed at the Tokyo Auto Salon, this kit is available for any 2008 to 2023 Dodge Challenger that isn't a Widebody model. It could be just the right thing to give your ride a more aggressive edge. What most don't seem to realize is Liberty Walk does make body kits for a number of American vehicles, although that's a more recent development. You can currently get kits for Mustangs, Broncos, C8 Corvettes, and Jeep Wrangler. Perhaps this Challenger R/T kit will help spread awareness of the company's expanded offerings.
