Trams suspended as police investigate incident on Broad Street
Trams were suspended as police investigate an incident in Birmingham city centre. Emergency vehicles blocked tram lines on Broad Street, leaving them unable to operate between the Library of Birmingham and Edgbaston Village. A police cordon remains in operation outside the Coyote Ugly bar, where charred bits of wood and broken signage lay on the floor outside. West Midlands Metro posted on its X account before 05:30 GMT on Tuesday - with trams confirmed to be running again within the hour. The BBC has contacted West Midlands Police for comment.
