China eyes stronger economic role in post-conflict Libya
China's Acting Ambassador to Libya, Liu Jian, has described his country as Libya's 'largest and most important trading partner,' highlighting the widespread presence of Chinese products in Libyan households.
In a press release, Liu emphasized Beijing's readiness to support Libya's reconstruction and development efforts once security and stability are fully restored.
'Chinese companies are looking forward to playing an active role in the rebuilding of Libya,' the envoy said, reaffirming China's long-term interest in expanding economic ties.
He also extended an invitation to Libyan public figures and professionals from various sectors to visit China, take part in international exhibitions, and explore opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation.
The message comes as Libya continues its push to attract foreign investment and rebuild its infrastructure following years of conflict and political instability. China has remained a key trade partner, particularly in construction, energy, and consumer goods. Tags: LibyabChina relations
