French ambassador bids farewell as term ends in Libya

Presidential Council President Mohamed Menfi on Tuesday bid farewell to the French Ambassador to Libya, Mustafa Mihraje, whose diplomatic term has come to an end. During a meeting at the Presidential Council's headquarters in Tripoli, Menfi expressed appreciation for Mihraje's efforts in strengthening Libyan-French relations and wished him success in his future endeavours. According to Africa Intelligence, France has appointed Thierry Vallat as the new ambassador to Libya. Vallat will succeed Mihraje, who is retiring after reaching the mandatory age of retirement.
