2nd round of football league playoffs: 1st win for Al-Ittihad, 2nd loss for Al-Ahly Benghazi
The second round of the Libyan Premier League Championship playoffs concluded on Tuesday, with all matches held simultaneously across three stadiums in Milan, Italy, bringing dramatic results that reshaped the standings.
At the Stadio Città di Meda, Al-Hilal secured its first win by defeating Al-Ahly Benghazi 2-1. With this win, Al-Hilal raised its tally to four points, while Al-Ahly Benghazi continued its poor run, suffering a second consecutive defeat and remaining without points.
At Arena Civica, Al-Ittihad bounced back from its opening-round loss with a crucial 3-2 win over Al-Sweihli. This win brought Al-Ittihad to three points, while Al-Sweihli remained at just one point.
Meanwhile, at the Stadio Artemio Breda, Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Akhdar played to a goalless draw in a match filled with competitiveness and excitement, despite the absence of goals.
With the draw, both teams added a point to their totals, bringing Al-Ahly Tripoli and Al-Akhdar to four points each.
Following Tuesday's results, three teams now share the top spot with four points each: Al-Ahly Tripoli, Al-Akhdar, and Al-Hilal.
