'Superman' Star Has Unusual Approach to Watching 'Star Wars' Movies
The star of the new Superman movie, David Corenswet, recently revealed that he's a big Star Wars fan, and so much so that he would prefer to take on the role of a Jedi over a role in a sequel to Superman. Corenswet took part in Vanity Fair's Lie Detector Test interview along with co-star Nicholas Hoult and was asked if he would rather do a Superman sequel or play as a Jedi Knight in a Star Wars film. Corenswet, who also admitted he has a tradition of taking part in a Star Wars marathon every New Year's Eve, showed his true allegiance by choosing the latter. The Superman star has also revealed he has an unorthodox approach for watching the Star Wars films, at least when it comes to introducing them to people who haven't watched the movies before. Corenswet doesn't recommend watching them in order. Instead, here's his preferred method, according to Brittany Broski's Royal Court. 1. A New Hope 2. The Empire Strikes Back 3. The Phantom Menace 4. Attack of the Clones 5. Revenge of the Sith 6. Return of the Jedi This is nearly the famed "Machete Order" (The Phantom Menace is not included in that order) for watching Star Wars movies, which further cements how big of a fan Corenswet is. Corenswet went on to explain the reasoning behind his preferred lineup. "You preserve the twist of — spoiler alert — Darth Vader is his father… and then you watch One through Three as a flashback essentially," Corenswet said. "And then Six, it's not as strong as Four and Five as a film, but it's a great culmination to the whole thing. It brings it all together. The stakes are bigger if you've seen One through Three, it feels more like a saga." While that lineup might feel odd to some, Corenswet's explanation for it is a strong one. David Corenswet left with 'wildest bruise' on testicle while filming Superman
David Corenswet got the "wildest bruise" on his "right testicle" while filming Superman. Taking part in Vanity Fair's Lie Detector Test series, his co-star Nicholas Hoult quizzed him on the 'wildest bruise" he got from the harness he used for the superhero blockbuster's flying scenes, to which Corenswet replied: 'My right testicle.' The test rendered his answer 'inconclusive" at first before he went into detail about the injury. He shared: 'There's footage from filming of me getting pulled through the air. It's this wonderful epic moment, it's in the trailer. In the beginning of it where I stand up and punch the glass out and then I leap out the window and fly through the air. 'And the first take of that, it's this big epic punch and a leap through the air and then just, 'my testicle.'' The polygraph professional confirmed he was telling the truth, with Corenswet responding: 'Oh yeah, I couldn't lie about that, it's on film.' Meanwhile, director James Gunn has teased his next DC Universe (DCU) project will feature Corenswet's Superman. The filmmaker insisted it won't be a direct sequel to the film, but it will see the return of Corenswet's Man of Steel. Speaking with Omelete, Gunn said: '[Corenswet] was asking me what I was working on ... He knows that I'm working on something. He knows he's a part of it. He doesn't know what it is … literally nothing.' Superman follows Clark Kent (Corenswet) as he struggles to balance his human life with his Kryptonian heritage, while facing a new threat from Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult). The blockbuster also introduces other DC heroes, including Guy Gardner's Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), and Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi).

BTS member Jin (진) is known for his joyful personality, so it's rare to see him nervous, but that's exactly how he felt during his appearance on Vanity Fair's Lie Detector Test on YouTube. Like many stars before him, he was asked a series of questions to answer truthfully. If any physiological changes were detected, the polygraph would indicate that he might not be telling the truth. Fans said they felt nervous for him, too, but were equally entertained by the content. That said, we also learned quite a few things about the idol. Here are some of our favourite moments from the episode: 1. He was scammed by video game sellers Jin considers himself someone who isn't easily fooled. However, when it comes to video games, he admits he can be swayed by an enticing offer. The singer revealed that he had been scammed by sellers who promised valuable in-game items, but sadly took his money and left him empty-handed. 2. He misses Jungkook the most out of all his members As the segment was filmed some time ago, the interviewer asked Jin which of his BTS bandmates, who were still completing their military service at the time, he missed the most. Initially, he replied that he missed all of them, but when the machine detected deception, he admitted he missed the maknae, Jungkook, the most. 3. He thinks his single 'Super Tuna' is cheesy Making music is all about having fun, so there's absolutely nothing wrong with an artist releasing a silly song every now and then. Jin released 'Super Tuna' back in 2024 and admitted he finds the song cheesy, so much so that he hoped people wouldn't take it too seriously. In fact, he even asked fans not to start a dance challenge to the single. 4. He has no desire to become an actor Despite holding a degree in acting, Jin has no desire to pursue a career in it. However, the polygraph detected deception, though the idol insisted he was telling the truth, even if offered a role in a Bong Joon Ho (봉준호) film. He went on to explain that the reason he doesn't want to become an actor is that it requires a great deal of effort and feels like an intimidating challenge to take on. Still, fans remain hopeful that they'd get to see Jin show off his acting chops one day. 5. He hasn't replied to his friends' messages It's not particularly surprising when an idol hasn't had much time to reply to messages from friends and family. However, Jin admitted he still hasn't responded to his friends back home, as he feels the conversations don't offer him anything meaningful. When asked to elaborate, he explained that they mainly talk about video games he doesn't play, so he has nothing to contribute to the discussion. It's important to note that this particular lie detector test isn't entirely reliable, as the examinee can influence the results by controlling their physiological responses. That said, when the examinee is under significant stress, the results may also be inaccurate, so it's best not to take Jin's answers too seriously. While topics ranged from 50 Shades of Grey to Alix Earle (she had no idea who she was), things got really interesting when Dakota shed some light on her relationship with her best friend Riley Keough. The actors randomly met at an In-N-Out parking lot in 2005, and they've been inseparable ever since. So, when the Materialists star was asked a series of questions about the things she'd do to protect Riley, there were clearly no limits for her. And the lie detector determined that was VERY, very true. She said she got it from " — the name of the site is actually 'You can order any kind, any size,' the Madame Web star said of the fecal matter. Stephanie, the woman administering the polygraph, said her answer was 'truthful.' But the raunchy questions didn't stop there. Dakota has clearly lived multiple lives because she was later asked about a rumor that she knew how to 'order pubic crabs online,' but she immediately denied it. 'No! Good Lord, I'm not a monster,' she added. This is definitely feel-good Friday content. Her personality cracks me up.
