The brand promised it would bring a 'fresh perspective to Liverpool's fashion landscape'. Shoppers can expect popular services such as UTme! customisable T-shirt station and a dedicated Studio, allowing customers to repair, remake and recycle preloved items to sustain clothes for longer inside the store. UNIQLO said it was 'proud' to collaborate with local partners to make the opening a celebration of the 'vibrant Liverpudlian community.' Activity will kick off with Girls On The Go Liverpool, an organisation that promotes women's health and empowerment. In the lead-up to the opening, they will be hosting UNIQLO-run clubs. The confirmation of the opening date is part of a much bigger plan for UNIQLO. The apparel retailer has also revealed it is opening stores in other regions in the country - namely Birmingham and Glasgow this autumn. As it stands, UNIQLO currently has 20 stores in the country. Speaking about the announcement, Alessandro Dudech, COO of UNIQLO UK, said: 'UNIQLO continues to invest in the UK retail landscape, growing our store footprint and e-commerce across the nation. "With this strategic next step, UNIQLO will open its doors to the locals who live in and around Glasgow and Birmingham, as well as the thousands of visitors to the cities. 'We are excited to offer LifeWear - clothing designed to last, born from the Japanese values of quality, simplicity and functionality to more customers." The company prides itself on producing apparel with longevity. Said to be designed 'to be of the time and for the time', UNIQLO believes it offers 'modern elegance that becomes the building blocks of each individual's style. This year is expected to be one of the biggest for launches Liverpool ONE has seen, according to Grosvenor's asset management director Rob Deacon. He previously said: "You'll be seeing a lot more vinyl going up over the next few months as the scheme's tenant mix continues to evolve and elevate. "2025 will be the biggest year for openings since the scheme opened in 2008, with the strongest line up of new brands anywhere in the UK. Watch this space."
