Uniqlo marks May 16 for Malad store launch

Global apparel retailer Uniqlo will open its fourth Mumbai store on May 16 at Inorbit Mall Malad, further strengthening its presence in the metro. The launch supports the brand's broader expansion strategy in India and adds to Inorbit Mall's line-up of international fashion labels.
Spanning 8,969 square feet, the store will offer Uniqlo's full 'LifeWear' range, including apparel for men, women, children, and infants, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. Known for its emphasis on simplicity and durability, LifeWear is designed to deliver everyday essentials suited to a wide range of lifestyles.
'Over the past 21 years, we've continually evolved to meet the changing needs of our community- and once again, we're carving a path for the decades ahead," said Inorbit Malls' chief executive officer Rajneesh Mahajan, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. "With the introduction of exciting new brands like Uniqlo and significant upgrades across the mall, we're reaffirming our commitment to staying relevant and creating meaningful, memorable experiences for all who visit.'
To mark the launch, Uniqlo is offering promotional activities including giveaways and limited-time offers. The first 100 shoppers on opening day will receive a Round Mini Shoulder Bag. Pre-launch activities also included a Wish Tree Activation from April 17 to May 15, and a voucher promotion for purchases above Rs 6,000.
A limited-edition tote bag by artist Aashti Miller will also be available during the opening weekend. The new outlet reinforces Inorbit Mall Malad's position as a key destination for global retail brands as Uniqlo will join labels including Victoria's Secret, Forever New, Aldo, and Hush Puppies, according to the mall's website.

Stanley Lifestyles Q4 net profit rises 3 percent to Rs 10.50 crore

Stanley Lifestyles Ltd Q4 net profit rose by three percent to Rs 10.50 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 10.20 crore in the year-ago quarter. The company's revenue declined by 5 percent to Rs 113 crore, as against Rs 119 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. For the full financial year, the company's net profit stood at Rs 29 crore on a sales revenue of Rs 426 crore. Commenting on the performance Mr. Sunil Suresh, Managing Director in a statement said, 'Our distribution business vertical saw short-term disruption due to a realignment in credit policies from credit to cash & carry model impacting volumes. This vertical is now stabilizing, and we expect growth momentum to return by Q3 FY26 as channel partners adjust to the revised terms. Meanwhile, the B2B segment remained flat throughout the year.' 'On the profitability front, the localisation efforts and manufacturing efficiencies through in-house manufacturing has been progressing well, leading to an improvement of 237-bps in gross margins. The gross margin expanded to 56.3% in FY25 compared to 53.9% in FY24,' he added. The company ended FY25. with 68 stores across India, comprising 44 of COCO stores and 24 FOFO stores.

Senco Gold Q4 net profit jumps 94 percent to Rs 62 crore

Jewellery retailer Senco Gold Ltd reported a 94 percent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 62 crore ($7.3 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 32 crore in the corresponding period a year ago. The company's revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 1,378 crore, as against Rs 1,137 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. For the full financial year, the company's revenue from operations stood at Rs 6,328 crore while net profit was Rs 159 crore. Commenting on the results, Suvankar Sen, managing director CEO in a statement said, ''We witnessed strong festive and wedding season demand along with improved traction in studded and diamond jewellery. Our focus on digital, franchisee-led expansion, and customer-centric innovation continues to yield results.' 'The strong wedding & valentine (season) has given a boost to Q4 business, witnessing more footfalls and improvement in sales by 21 percent. Diamond jewellery grew by 38 percent,' he added. Senco Gold and Diamonds opened a total of 15 showrooms during the full fiscal year. The brand now counts 175 retail outlets across India.
