‘I went to an Oasis gig and here's what all the cool women were wearing'
Our beauty editor Laura Mulley was at one of the Oasis shows in Manchester this weekend, and if you're wondering what to wear to your upcoming gig, here's some inspiration I was lucky enough to get tickets to see Oasis play at Heaton Park in Manchester on Saturday night, and it was as incredible as all the fans are saying; if you've got tickets for an upcoming show – or are hoping to buy some last-minute ones – you're in for a real treat. However, I ummed and ahhed about what I should wear to it for quite a while beforehand. It needed to be practical for the long day spend, in my case, in a field, yet as someone how loves fashion, I still wanted to look cool. Of course, the majority of people were wearing the band's merchandise, namely T-shirts and bucket hats; these can be bought in advance via the official Oasis store, or you'll be able to pick one up from vendors at or outside the venue. You'll also find loads of great options on the high street, including at Next, Debenhams and Amazon. As I attended Heaton Park, a fully open-air venue, wellies or boots and raincoats were definitely needed (I ordered this leopard print one from ASOS). If you're going to Wembley Stadium, however, trainers would be acceptable; keep with the band's connection to Adidas with a pair of Spezials. Here's what else to pair your merch with... A crossbody bag Safe and easily accessible yet stylish, a crossbody bag is perfect for gigs as it leaves your hands free. I took my everyday Arket black crossbody bag, but the cult classic Uniqlo Round Mini Shoulder Bag, £14.90, is perfect for this – it's lightweight and comes in loads of colours now. Remember that any bag you bring needs to be under A4 in size (no backpacks), and they will be searched prior to entry. Shorts Even if the weather's not baking hot, we're still talking summer here, and at Heaton Park almost all of the women were wearing shorts rather than jeans or trousers; paired with a band T-shirt, I think it gives a rock 'n' roll, festival look. A bucket hat If you're going to wear any sort of headwear, make it a bucket hat, in keeping with the band's famous 90s style – so many men and women were wearing them at Heaton Park. If you want to buy a non-Oasis one that you'll get more wear out of, I loved this grey leopard print Adidas one my friend was wearing (£30). It's currently only available in one size though, so if you want more options, ASOS is a great place to look. This Adidas olive-coloured one is £23, while this £8 cream one is a great bargain option is you know you're not going to wear it much after the event. How to buy Oasis tickets Viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused. While they operate in a grey area, the resale websites including viagogo, StubHub and Vivid Seats have the biggest collection of tickets available right now. And these begin at prices including £350 and £400. These websites give fans the chance to buy tickets up to the day of the concert in question. And ticket-buyers are protected by each website's guarantee, meaning they are promised either entry to the event with their ticket, or their money back. No arrests required. Here's the links: Alternatively, the official retailers, Ticketmaster, Seat Unique and Twickets, are the only legitimate ways to buy tickets at this point in the tour. However, Ticketmaster and Twickets have not had any tickets come through for weeks. With that said, Seat Unique still has VIP and hospitality tickets available right now. Uniqlo marks May 16 for Malad store launch
Global apparel retailer Uniqlo will open its fourth Mumbai store on May 16 at Inorbit Mall Malad, further strengthening its presence in the metro. The launch supports the brand's broader expansion strategy in India and adds to Inorbit Mall's line-up of international fashion labels. Spanning 8,969 square feet, the store will offer Uniqlo's full 'LifeWear' range, including apparel for men, women, children, and infants, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. Known for its emphasis on simplicity and durability, LifeWear is designed to deliver everyday essentials suited to a wide range of lifestyles. 'Over the past 21 years, we've continually evolved to meet the changing needs of our community- and once again, we're carving a path for the decades ahead," said Inorbit Malls' chief executive officer Rajneesh Mahajan, Indian Retailer Bureau reported. "With the introduction of exciting new brands like Uniqlo and significant upgrades across the mall, we're reaffirming our commitment to staying relevant and creating meaningful, memorable experiences for all who visit.' To mark the launch, Uniqlo is offering promotional activities including giveaways and limited-time offers. The first 100 shoppers on opening day will receive a Round Mini Shoulder Bag. Pre-launch activities also included a Wish Tree Activation from April 17 to May 15, and a voucher promotion for purchases above Rs 6,000. A limited-edition tote bag by artist Aashti Miller will also be available during the opening weekend. The new outlet reinforces Inorbit Mall Malad's position as a key destination for global retail brands as Uniqlo will join labels including Victoria's Secret, Forever New, Aldo, and Hush Puppies, according to the mall's website.

Can the Uniqlo Round Mini Shoulder Bag really handle a weekend trip away?

Seeing as I'm a serial over packer, I wanted to see what you could really get inside, and if it was a good as everyone else has been saying – especially with two bank holidays on the way. Usually, I'm that girl that packs a million pairs of pants for a short trip, so knew that was the first thing I'd have to cut down – along with an obscene amount of beauty products… Hypothetically, when you go away for the weekend, you need at least a light jacket, two pairs of jeans (but one will be packed, and one worn, along with the jacket), jumper (also worn), top for the evening, few pairs of pants, pyjamas (unless you enjoy sleeping in the nude), beauty bits, toothbrush… So that's what I did. Into my £14.90 gingham printed Round Mini Shoulder Bag, I shoved as much as I could inside. The Uniqlo Round Mini Shoulder Bag (Gingham) is a stylish and practical accessory made from seersucker fabric with a charming gingham check pattern. It features a water-repellent finish, dimensions of 11" (width) x 6.7" (height) x 3.9" (depth), and a capacity of 4 litres. Buy Now for £14.90 The moment I forced my jeans in the bag though, I was in trouble as they're so thick – so it looks like I'm just travelling with the one, and my trusty Tide pen to get rid of anything I might spill on them. Once they were removed, I started again and managed to get in one t-shirt, one blouse, makeup, FOUR pairs of pants (yolo), toothbrush (out of shot), charger, and essential skincare for a short trip. Missing would be my skincare, swimwear (should that be required), and another pair of shoes/boots. Whist I would agree the bag is spacious for sure, for me, I'm just not buying the fact you could use it for a short break – unless the weather was going to be consistent. At most, an overnight stay at a mate's house and you need to transport the essentials to and from the pub back to theirs, but it's not one for longer than that – soz Uniqlo. What I would love to see though is a slightly larger version – just a few inches more and I think it could be on to something. To the 36 people that have given this design the full five-stars, Mandy hailed it: 'Amazing quality, beautiful design.' She went on to add: 'Fits a lot of things inside the bag. This is my first bag from Uniqlo, I knew I had to get it when it came out in this beautiful pattern.' More Trending Mrs B agreed and said: 'I've got this bag in so many colours. It's brilliant, looks smart, comfortable to wear, and secure. Holds a ridiculously large amount. Great quality too.' 'I bought this bag for my wife as she already has a couple of these round mini shoulder bags but she wanted the pinks one. And she absolutely loves it,' mentioned BillKMC. Another five-star reviewer called JChem said: 'Fantastic bag to have. Even though by looking the size seems to be quite petite, but the volume and the amount of stuff that it can take in, INCREDIBLE!. Love the design too and it is waterproof, definitely the best fit for London's weather.' So if you can pack really light, then I would say this could just about fit in all the essentials you'd need for a weekend, but if like me you also need to pack more – then opt for splitting a cabin bag – but at least take this as your day bag because you really can pack quite a bit inside.
