Can the Uniqlo Round Mini Shoulder Bag really handle a weekend trip away?

I've always heard and read that the Uniqlo Round Mini Shoulder Bag is meant to be a bit of a 'Tardis' when it comes to packing for a short break/overnight stay.
Seeing as I'm a serial over packer, I wanted to see what you could really get inside, and if it was a good as everyone else has been saying – especially with two bank holidays on the way.
Usually, I'm that girl that packs a million pairs of pants for a short trip, so knew that was the first thing I'd have to cut down – along with an obscene amount of beauty products…
Hypothetically, when you go away for the weekend, you need at least a light jacket, two pairs of jeans (but one will be packed, and one worn, along with the jacket), jumper (also worn), top for the evening, few pairs of pants, pyjamas (unless you enjoy sleeping in the nude), beauty bits, toothbrush… So that's what I did.
Into my £14.90 gingham printed Round Mini Shoulder Bag, I shoved as much as I could inside.
The Uniqlo Round Mini Shoulder Bag (Gingham) is a stylish and practical accessory made from seersucker fabric with a charming gingham check pattern. It features a water-repellent finish, dimensions of 11" (width) x 6.7" (height) x 3.9" (depth), and a capacity of 4 litres. Despite its compact size, it offers surprising storage capacity, making it perfect for everyday use. Buy Now for £14.90
The moment I forced my jeans in the bag though, I was in trouble as they're so thick – so it looks like I'm just travelling with the one, and my trusty Tide pen to get rid of anything I might spill on them.
Once they were removed, I started again and managed to get in one t-shirt, one blouse, makeup, FOUR pairs of pants (yolo), toothbrush (out of shot), charger, and essential skincare for a short trip.
Missing would be my skincare, swimwear (should that be required), and another pair of shoes/boots.
Whist I would agree the bag is spacious for sure, for me, I'm just not buying the fact you could use it for a short break – unless the weather was going to be consistent. At most, an overnight stay at a mate's house and you need to transport the essentials to and from the pub back to theirs, but it's not one for longer than that – soz Uniqlo. What I would love to see though is a slightly larger version – just a few inches more and I think it could be on to something.
To the 36 people that have given this design the full five-stars, Mandy hailed it: 'Amazing quality, beautiful design.' She went on to add: 'Fits a lot of things inside the bag. This is my first bag from Uniqlo, I knew I had to get it when it came out in this beautiful pattern.' More Trending
Mrs B agreed and said: 'I've got this bag in so many colours. It's brilliant, looks smart, comfortable to wear, and secure. Holds a ridiculously large amount. Great quality too.'
'I bought this bag for my wife as she already has a couple of these round mini shoulder bags but she wanted the pinks one. And she absolutely loves it,' mentioned BillKMC.
Another five-star reviewer called JChem said: 'Fantastic bag to have. Even though by looking the size seems to be quite petite, but the volume and the amount of stuff that it can take in, INCREDIBLE!. Love the design too and it is waterproof, definitely the best fit for London's weather.'
So if you can pack really light, then I would say this could just about fit in all the essentials you'd need for a weekend, but if like me you also need to pack more – then opt for splitting a cabin bag – but at least take this as your day bag because you really can pack quite a bit inside.

'I won the National Lottery - this is what I now do day to day'
A mum-of-four is hoping to turn her dream job into a reality after scooping £10,000 a month for a year on the National Lottery – but not before ticking off her ultimate shopping list. Olivia Love, 36, did what we all say we would do in her shoes and quit her job at a local supermarket after hearing the life-changing news. Since marrying last year, she has had her heart set on building a new career in wedding content creation. Now, thanks to her win, she and her husband are busy making those fantasies come true. The Glaswegian told Metro her reaction when she received the call telling her she had won on May 16. 'I just didn't believe it, I still don't believe it. I keep thinking this is a really vivid dream and at some point somebody is going to pinch me,' she said. 'It's hard to put into words how much this means to me.' The life-changing sum of money means a lot to Olivia who has struggled with money in the past. She earned £800-a-month before working in a supermarket's customer-service kiosk. Olivia was also on Universal Credit to subsidise her £1,800-a-month childcare costs. 'I still feel a bit nauseous if I'm being honest about it especially when I think about how much money it is,' she said. 'I'm not used to having any money. I'm used to having literal pennies left in the bank. I feel less anxious because I don't have to worry about the bills. 'Suddenly having thousands blows my mind.' Olivia and her husband went for some breakfast after dropping the kids off at his parents after they found out about the win. They then went on a shopping spree. 'I was trying to convince Kevin to buy some clothes. All he really wanted was a new pair of jeans and a new car. They weren't even expensive jeans, just jeans from Next. 'He's not much of a spender, I'm definitely the spender in the family. 'I went into Victoria's Secret and spent a whopping £750. That was my Pretty Woman moment.' Since the big win, Olivia's day-to-day life has changed as she gets more help around the house. This includes a team of cleaners who helped declutter her home and somebody who cleared her garden. She even has somebody who picks up her laundry and the next day brings it back all washed, dried and folded. When Olivia worked in the kiosk, she came across people buying lottery tickets which inspired her to get involved. But she admitted she did not play often and feels lucky to have won the money she has. 'Everybody is happy for us and nobody is asking for money which is nice. 'I haven't really come into contact with many people since the win. Over the years I've kept my social circle really small so I don't have any friends. 'We had a late miscarriage a couple of years ago. When I was in the midst of grief I just stopped talking to everyone. 'When I came out of that shadow there was nobody left. It is just me, my husband and the kids and that is the way we like it.' Olivia has been speaking about her massive tax-free win on her TikTok account. Some of her videos, which include how she found out, what happens if she dies and was it a lucky dip have more than 200,000 views each. More Trending She now plans to set up a wedding content creation business. Olivia has always wanted to pursue this career direction but was held back by her job and the income she relied on. She had this advice for people who are considering entering the lottery but have their doubts. 'It is just a game of chance. You can win, you just have to be in it to win it.'
