Zara McDermott's new launch includes must-have butter yellow playsuit for summer
Zara McDermott dropped the latest collection for her brand Rise with plenty of pastel pieces for summer, including a butter yellow playsuit that nails this season's trending colour
When Zara McDermott first launched her clothing brand, Rise, last year it focussed mainly on comfortable gym wear, but since then each new launch has brought something new, with her last collection centering on swimwear. And now her newest drop is all about summer staples, with a pastel colour scheme and comfy, easy to style basics that will instantly update your wardrobe.
Amongst the candy-coloured separates is the Rise by Zara McDermott Light Yellow Scuba Zip Playsuit, which comes in this season's top trending colour; butter yellow. Priced at £45 its an easy affordable piece that can be worn in multiple ways, and it's now available to shop via New Look, where the Rise brand is stocked.
It's made from scuba material which gives it some structure and shape without being rigid, and keeps it lightweight and comfortable to wear even when it's hot. It has a flattering silhouette, with an elasticated waistband which helps nip you in at the waist and counters the more relaxed, loose fitting shape of the shorts and top.
The Light Yellow Scuba Zip Playsuit features wide-leg A-line shorts and a short sleeved collared shirt which gives it a slightly smarter feel that can be easily styled for multiple occasions. You could wear it with some trainers and a tote bag for a day at the beach or out sightseeing on holiday, or wear with some sandals and statement jewellery for a dinner in the sun.
If you prefer something that looks a little less casual, this ASOS DESIGN Double Cloth Gathered Bust Playsuit is £30 and features a plunging V-neckline with adjustable ties, a fitted waist, and pleated details to give it some extra movement. It comes in a pale yellow 'buttermilk' colour, as well as other pastel shades like pink and green.
For a more sporty look, this 4505 Active Halter Neck Tennis Dress With Under Shorts is £35 also at ASOS, and whilst it looks like a mini dress, it has hidden shorts underneath. Although it's designed to be activewear, you could just as easily wear it out and about with chunky sandals and some oversized sunglasses.
