Forbidden Fruit Festival 2025: All you need to know as Peggy Gou, Jazzy and more take to the stage

The two-day festival takes place on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1. Gates open at 2pm each day, and the last entry to the festival is at 9.30pm. Who's playing when? Saturday sees Jamie XX close the main stage, with Caribou, Glass Beams and Trinity Orchestra performing earlier in the day. Mall Grab, Effy and Sam Austins are among those playing the Undergrowth Stage, while Kilimanjaro, LB aka LABAT and Pussy Wrangler light up the Lighthouse Stage. There will also be sets across the RTÉ 2FM Rising Stage and the Someplace Else Stage, featuring local and emerging acts such as Celaviedmai, Sweetlemondae and Vatican Jail. On Sunday, dance royalty Underworld headline the main stage following Peggy Gou's much-anticipated set. Jazzy, Bunt, Yaeji and Juicy Romance are among those performing across the other stages. When the festival wraps on-site around 10.45pm, the party moves into the city. Wristband holders can access Forbidden Fruit Night, a series of official after-parties across town, featuring DJ collectives and guest slots from some of the festival's own performers. Tier 3 tickets are listed at €107.05 for a day ticket, and Tier 4 weekend tickets at €184.50, with additional fees depending on delivery method. The event is fully cashless, so be sure to bring a contactless payment method. Getting there There is no parking at the venue, and traffic restrictions will be in place around Kilmainham Lane and Military Road. The easiest way to get there is by public transport. By bus, the 13, 123 and 40 routes stop nearby (alight at St James's Hospital), as do the C1–C4 services. The Red Line Luas will take you from the city centre to Heuston Station, which is just a five-minute walk from the gates. For those travelling from further afield, Heuston Station is served by Irish Rail services, and the Luas connects easily with Connolly Station too. Pedestrian access is via the East Gate on Military Road and the West Gate on James's Street. Gates open at 2pm, and the last entry is at 9.30pm. Those with a mobility-impaired parking badge will be permitted vehicle access via James's Street and Military Road to a designated car park near the East Gate. Vehicles will be held for around 30 minutes after the last act finishes, so factor that into your plans. Security and what to bring Festivalgoers are advised to pack light. Only small bags (A4 size or smaller) will be allowed and will be searched on entry. If you're going bag-free, you'll be fast-tracked through security. Leave umbrellas, drones, liquids and pets at home. Professional recording equipment, fireworks and illegal substances are strictly banned. Smoking is not allowed in enclosed spaces, and re-entry is not permitted with day tickets. Bars will operate a Challenge 25 policy – so if you look under 25, bring valid ID. Catering and bar services will be available throughout the weekend. Organisers also ask that you look after yourself and your mates – take breaks, stay hydrated, and be mindful of others. There will be wellness zones on-site and medics available if needed. Weather It wouldn't be an Irish festival without some unpredictable weather. Saturday is expected to start off dry, but turn wet and windy as the day goes on, with temperatures between 15C and 20C.
