SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — The Sioux City Police Department (SCPD) has given an update to a fatal stabbing, claiming the incident was justified. He was hospitalized but died. A 14-year-old in the home witnessed the assault, and police said, in an attempt to stop the violence, they grabbed a knife from the kitchen and stabbed Chark. The Woodbury County Attorney's Office determined the 14-year-old was justified in doing so because they were trying to stop the domestic violence situation. No files have been, or will be, charged, they said. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.

Our work requirements are going to require you to volunteer, go to school, get in a training program, or go to work, and we do that because we want you to improve your life,' Rep. Johnson said. South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden also answered questions from the students at USD on Wednesday. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
