Limecraft unveils Version 2025.5 with key upgrades ahead of IBC
In addition, IBC visitors will be able to preview Limecraft's new AI-powered dubbing feature, integrated into its production workspace to help teams scale multilingual localisation without losing editorial control.
Limecraft has announced new additions to the feature set of its cloud-based media and entertainment production and delivery platform. Version 2025.5 will be demonstrated on Limecraft stand at IBC 2025, Amsterdam, 12-15 September.
Maarten Verwaest, co-founder and CRO of Limecraft, said: 'Following recent major advances in the platform's production and delivery automation capabilities, update 2025.5 delivers important improvements to accessibility, content sharing and subtitling. It includes game-changing enhancements to our subtitling workflows, allowing subtitlers to benefit from a new character-based method for indicating speaker changes. This new technique automates the insertion of speaker labels, reducing manual corrections to make subtitles more representative and accessible. It complements the platform's existing colour-coded speaker options and is fully customisable in terms of formatting, spacing and positioning.
'This new mechanism greatly reduces the time needed for proofreading and post-editing, especially in long-form content with frequent speaker changes. The result is a faster subtitling process, reduced fatigue for editors and fewer chances for costly mistakes downstream. Combined with Limecraft's advanced speech-to-text engine and subtitle editor, this advance is another step towards fully automatic professional-grade subtitling.
'Content sharing in Limecraft becomes even more seamless. From this release, all shared links use a shortened format that keeps URLs clean, reduces metadata exposure and redirects securely. This improvement is especially valuable in fast-paced production environments involving dozens or hundreds of clips.'
Version 2025.5 also includes improvements in terms of accessibility and compliance. With an updated user interface featuring improved contrast and iconography, Limecraft is now easier to navigate for all users, including those with impaired vision.
Further to these, visitors to Limecraft's IBC stand will have the opportunity to preview AI-powered dubbing. Fully integrated into Limecraft's existing production workspace, this innovation will enable production teams to scale multilingual localisation without compromising editorial control.
