Wednesday's Warrior: Derby-Shelton Rotary Club dedicates Flags for Heroes
DERBY, Conn. (WTHN) – Beautiful American flags.
'It's just so moving patriotism, pride … it's just amazing,' said Linda Holmes-Hannon of the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club.
Our stars and stripes take over parts of Derby and Shelton to honor heroes who put service above self.

'Our total flags in both communities were 325 flags,' Holmes-Hannon said.
This is the fourth annual Flags for Heroes, put on by the Derby-Shelton Rotary Club for the community to recognize all our heroes.
You can purchase a flag for one hero or multiple heroes- including veterans, firemen, teachers, nurses, and active military heroes.

A former Rotary president, Homes-Hannon, brought this event to Derby and Shelton to give community members an opportunity to honor a loved one or someone they are thankful for.
'The true warriors are the heroes that are displayed,' Homes-Hannon said.
