Three Publix locations newly opened in Palm Beach County

Publix continues to be a go-to grocery destination for Floridians, whether it's for a chicken tender sub, fresh salads, fried chicken or the viral seafood boil. In the last six months alone, Palm Beach County has added three new Publix locations, reflecting the grocer's ongoing push to modernize and expand across the region. Each store brings updated features and amenities designed to enhance the shopping experience for longtime customers and new visitors alike. Here are the three Publix locations that have recently opened in Palm Beach County The store reopened May 8 after being demolished in February to make way for a larger, modernized building. Located on Alternate A1A between Burns Road and Northlake Boulevard, the upgraded store features wider aisles, a coffee station, indoor seating, and an expanded product selection. Shoppers lined up early for lottery tickets, $1.49 coffee, and food samples. 'It's friendly, spacious and easy to get around,' said Pat Batts, 64, of Palm Beach Gardens. Publix just opened a new South Florida store, and two more are on the way

Publix opened its latest Florida supermarket on April 17. The 51,390 square-foot store is at Palm Lakes Plaza at 7230 West Atlantic Blvd. in Margate. It's a rebuild on the site after more than a year of construction — similar to the recently opened Briar Bay Publix across the street from The Falls in South Miami-Dade. That one also replaced an older store in the same space. The remodeled Margate Publix offers the traditional departments: grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat and fresh produce. A full-service bakery, deli and pharmacy features, too, said spokeswoman Lindsey Willis. The new store also has indoor and outdoor seating areas 'for customers to stop and enjoy their favorite Publix finds,' she said in an email. At Thursday's opening, the Lakeland-based grocery chain celebrated its 95th anniversary by handing out commemorative reusable bags to the first 95 customers who stood in line at the grand opening. Some customers arrived two hours before the 7 a.m. opening. 'I have lived in Margate for 30 years, and this is my store. I was here at 5 a.m., and it looks great,' customer Carlos Pastor told Margate Talk. Opening soon Two new Publix supermarkets woth pharmacies are coming to South Florida in May: ▪ Publix at The Greens, 19595 S State Road 7, Boca Raton. This 33,679-square-foot store opens May 1. ▪ Publix at Promenade Shopping Plaza, 9900 Alternate A1A, Palm Beach Gardens. This 54,964-square-foot store opens May 8.

Opening dates set for new Publix stores in Margate, West Boca and Palm Beach Gardens

Consumers in Margate and surrounding communities soon won't have to drive to Coral Springs to enjoy the pleasure of shopping at Publix. After 15 months of teardown and construction, a newly rebuilt Publix supermarket will open at the site of the old one at the Palm Lakes Plaza at 7230 W. Atlantic Blvd., on southwest corner of the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Rock Island Road. Doors will open at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 17, a spokeswoman confirmed on Tuesday. In Margate, early risers can join the ceremony on April 17. 'The ribbon cutting will be open to the public and our store manager will say a few words prior to the doors opening at 7 a.m.,' spokeswoman Lindsey Willis said. The new 51,000=square-foot building will include amenities not available in the old building, which was 9,000 square feet smaller, including a second-story open-air patio with tables and seating. Accessible by elevator, the patio will be adjacent to an air-conditioned seating area overlooking the inside of the store, according to photos provided by Willis in January. The dining spots will be close to a central deli area, where Pub subs and other grab-and-go items can be ordered, Willis said. The new store will include all of the usual Publix departments — grocery, dairy, frozen food, seafood, meat, fresh produce and more — no doubt in a larger configuration compared to the older smaller-format store it is replacing. It will also include a connected liquor store and drive-through pharmacy, according to site plans. Openings will quickly follow for two other South Florida Publix stores, Willis confirmed. A few miles north, a Publix will open on May 1 in a newly built shopping center called The Greens at 19595 S. State Road 7 in West Boca. And a week after that, on May 8, another rebuilt Publix will open in the Promenade Shopping Plaza at 9900 Alternative A1A in Palm Beach Gardens. Publix has a cafecito truck? Free coffee rolling on a 2-day Miami tour. Where to find it

Publix is sending its cafecito truck on a two-day 'culture and community' tour of the Miami area on Tuesday and Wednesday. Expect samples of coffee, cafecito and pastries, Publix spokeswoman Lindsey Willis said. The Lakeland-based chain often goes mobile and sends products into neighborhoods on promotional tours. Last summer, the supermarket ran an ice cream truck tour that stopped in Broward and Palm Beach counties to hand out free samples of eight limited-edition flavors. We didn't need prodding to try the refreshing Lemon Berry Bliss. And we still occasionally see cartons of Lemon Berry Bliss at the Kendall-area stores. Newer limited edition varieties include Black Swamp Raspberry Cheesecake and Peanut Butter Pie. Here are the stops for the cafecito truck tour — and this time Miami-Dade is in play. Where can you get free coffee? ▪ University of Miami's Lakeside Plaza at 1353 Stanford Dr. on the Coral Gables campus. When: 10 a.m.-noon, Tuesday, March 4. ▪ Domino Park at 1444 SW Eighth St., Miami. When: 9 a.m.-11 a.m., Wednesday, March 5. ▪ Miami Dade College's Wolfson Campus at 399 NE First Ave., Miami. When: 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 5.
