Falls Art Market lands near Levitt
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A popular event on the local art scene is making its return to Sioux Falls, but at a new location.
Art is in the eye of the beholder and there will be plenty to see at the first Falls Art Market of the season.

'Artists with original artwork, wearable artwork, fine artwork, functional artwork, a little bit of something for everyone,' Falls Art Market coordinator Lisa Myhre said.
Lisa Myhre and BronzeAge Art Casting are hosting the event Saturday at their new location just east of Levitt at the Falls.
'They will be having morning concerts from 10:30 to 11:30, they're family concerts, a little more intimate, they're wonderful and that'll be happening kind of the in the middle of our market and it's just across the way,' Myhre said.
'More times than not, people will say I never even knew people did this,' Big D's Specialties owner Darren Schlechter said.
Darren Schlechter is a blacksmith who started forging knives nearly ten years ago.
'It's fun explaining things to people who enjoy what I'm passionate about,' Schlechter said.
He's one of nearly two dozen artists who will selling at the market, knives that can take anywhere from five to fifty hours to create.
'I make fish hook damascus and ball bearing/dragon scale damascus and just looking at it and explaining to people how I do it, just watching their face go 'you do what?' (laugh),' Schlechter said.
After holding only one Falls Art Market last year, this is the first of three events scheduled for this summer.
'Well, last year we were in the process of relocating BronzeAge Art Casting, so it was easier just to do one and then pack and so this year we're expanding it out to three,' Myhre said.
And it all starts Saturday.
The Falls Art Market runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. BronzeAge Art Casting will also host the event on the fourth Saturday of June and July.
