Riyadh's selection as guest of honor underscores its emerging role on the global cultural stage and highlights Saudi Arabia's commitment to promoting intercultural dialogue and knowledge exchange through literature and the arts. Dr. Abdul Latif Al-Wasil, CEO of the Literature Commission, stated that the Kingdom's participation offers a unique opportunity to introduce Saudi culture to Latin American audiences and share the diversity of the nation's literary and creative heritage. The Riyadh pavilion will feature a rich cultural program including seminars, panel discussions, poetry evenings, and stage performances. It will also include an interactive corner for children, an exhibition of rare manuscripts and books, and a dedicated space for Saudi publications translated into Spanish—designed to deepen cross-cultural understanding.
