Kelly Ripa wears her wedding dress 'all the time'
Kelly Ripa wears her "off-the-rack" wedding dress as a "beach cover-up". The 54-year-old talk show host purchased her slip gown from Barneys New York for under $200 when she got hitched to her husband Mark Consuelos in Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1996, and she is keeping her bet alive that "maybe it will be an investment piece" by donning it "all the time". She told PEOPLE magazine's World's Most Beautiful issue: "I took the tags off to wear it to our wedding and I wear it all the time now as a beach cover-up." However, there are other outfits - some more daring than others - that she "can't or just won't wear" as is making a mental list of them. She added: "There are so many things that I just can't or won't wear. I'm literally making a list in my head. "I really try not to, at this age, [wear miniskirts] - and especially since I spend most of my time sitting in a stool or a desk, I try to wear longer skirts." Kelly previously wore her wedding dress when the smitten couple jetted off to the Turks and Caicos islands in 2016 to mark their 20th anniversary. She said on her daytime show 'Live with Kelly and Michael [ Strahan]' in 2016 - which she now co-hosts with her husband: "I didn't buy it as a wedding dress. "I just bought it because it was really pretty. 'I said to myself, 'I bet if I buy this maybe it will be an investment piece. Maybe I will wear it more than once.'"

After Mark was hired to play Ripa's love interest on the daytime drama, their relationship turned romantic, and less than a year into their romance, they eloped in Las Vegas in 1996.
