Texas Stars Sign Logan Terness To ATO
The Texas Stars have signed goaltender Logan Terness to an amateur try-out, it was announced earlier this week.
Terness, a native of Burnaby, B.C., joined the Stars after recently finishing his fourth season in the NCAA and his second with Ohio State. Across 25 appearances this year with the Buckeyes, he collected a record of 12-10-1 to go along with a 2.46 GAA and a .917 SP.
Over a combined 70 games with Ohio State and the University of Connecticut, Terness put up a stat line of 32-29-6, a 2.73 GAA and a .911 SP. Prior to that, he played his junior hockey with the BCHL's Trail Smoke Eaters.
With Terness making the jump to the pro game, he may not have the opportunity to see a game with Texas but his body of work in the NCAA and BCHL should make him an intriguing player wherever he winds up. The Stars would be adding a solid depth piece to the system should they sign him to a contract.
